My favorite guild, the Orzhov Syndicate, takes its toll turn after turn on the opponent. Removal with Mortify (from the Sorin vs Tibalt deck, I like the art better) and One Thousand Lashes .

Obzedat's Aid will come in from the sideboard against aggro decks. Curse of Exhaustion slows down aggro decks/burn decks, Massacre Worm destroys token decks.

Crypt Ghast, or multiple, make Debt to the Deathless a huge bomb (usually the win con). Alternatively, Pontiff of Blight with Crypt Ghast allows for stupid amounts of extortion, and is also a viable win con. This deck can hold out against a lot, and I've always enjoyed playing it.
