I really didn't like the change for Resto Angel either... it also makes the deck needlessly more expensive.

I makes my mana curve look nice, but you guys are probably right.
Bloodthrone Vampire won't be coming back though. She's not as great as I first thought. Dies too easily in most cases.
I want to slot Skirsdag High Priest back in, but I don't want to drop Diregraf Ghoul. I need some suggestions on what to drop.
Suprisingly, Diregraf Ghoul left a great crater when I took it out. Gravecrawler wasn't coming back as often, and I missed out a lot of damage in the early game.
I like Restoration Angel for an instant speed blocker, and the fact that she can save creatures that don't un-die or risk being Exiled. I'll be doing playtesting with both I think, see which one helps me more, as I have a playset of both. Thrull Parasite looks like it'll win, though.

Thrull Parasite is back in it's rightful home in the meantime.
Still want to make Skirsdag High Priest fit in somewhere, though.

Killing Wave, Silverblade Paladin, Duress, and for shananigans and interesting plays, Gideon, Champion of Justice.

May I suggest trying a mixture of Black Cat and Diregraf Ghoul?
As much as I agree that Diregraf Ghoul is awesome, you mainly want her to stay in the Graveyard once she's down (to keep those Gravecrawlers swinging)
With Black Cat you get a little more card advantage.
Perhaps 2 Diregraf Ghoul and 2 Black Cat?
(Worth a playtest?)
March 22, 2013 5:26 a.m.
Wow! Black Cat is a zombie, too. Hmmm, interesting. Might be worth a playtest.
Black Cat costs one more; is 1 toughness and 1 strength down on Diregraf Ghoul , but makes them discard a card at random when it dies? Might give me an edge on control. May even be a good sideboard choice should I not find it main-deck worthy.
I'm still having trouble finding space for Skirsdag High Priest too.

I am wondering if you would consider the Skirsdag High Priest over Thrull Parasite ?

What are your thoughts on replacing Obzedat, Ghost Council with the new Pontiff of Blight from DGM? It will make the deck less reliant on white (enough to remove the need for the guildgates, there-in speeding up the deck) and work as a better finisher, allowing to extort a grave-summoned gravecrawler with every creature you have. And speaking of gravecrawler hes also a zombie himself.
April 23, 2013 2:37 p.m.
I'm really not too sure on the Pontiff. He's not particularly beefy on the attacking side, and to use him effectively, he does require me to top-deck cheap spells. Might be helped by using Blood Scrivener as well.
I was considering the use of the new Blood Baron of Vizkopa over Obzedat. But, I'll likely be able to get in some more testing when DGM is live on this website.

Well you see, he's gotta big butt so its hard to remove him, he doesnt need to attack. The whole point is he'd be a better "finisher" than obzedat or blood baron. You play him later when youve got gravecrawlers in your grave and a decent field set up. You simply play him when you can, then the next turn when you have open mana, you just cast gravecrawler from your grave since pontiff is a zombie, and extort the gravecrawler for a ridiculous amount with all your creatures and mana. Also, in the situation that blood baron of viskopa would be useful (your opponent has 10 life or less) if extorting with your entire board wont kill them, then going sac crazy with aristocrat and triggering blood artist right after sure as heck will.
Also on a separate note, thoughts on Sin Collector in the sideboard?
April 23, 2013 10:12 p.m.
Hmmm... I'll need to look into him a bit more. He seems pretty decent. And Sin Collecter would probably jump in the sideboard over Appetite for Brains.

Glad to help, I've been looking to get into standard and love B/W orzhov, but found it lacked the punch to stand up to other good standard decks.
Then I found your deck and said "Yeah, that'll do." It's actually almost complete, just need to order a few cards and I can start playing it at my LGS, thank you for the deck man. I'm just happy to make it better.

Hey Bnyan!
Check out your wall. I have some questions on your play style and your side board. Thanks!

what do you think of [blood scrivener] over [diregraf ghoul]?
April 28, 2013 11:32 p.m.
I really love this deck. I've noticed a lot of people using Exquisite Blood I thought that maybe you could combine Exquisite Blood with Blood Artist to add some extort-like combos. Also, random suggestion for annoying mill decks that you might want to consider: Grisly Spectacle
Anyway, just some things that I've noticed that produce nice combos/counters. Again, love this deck and will definitely use some ideas to add on into my own.

Alright, just came back from playing my version of the deck. My first ever standard tournament and I go 4-1, getting 3rd place out of 50-60 people. This deck is an absolute beast.
Forget everything I said about Pontiff, he was either a dead card or when i could play him I was already winning, hes much to slow and somewhat useless in this deck. Every time I had him in my hand id wish he was a second ghost dad. I also tried crypt ghasts but found them underwhelming, this decks strongest point is it can go at full strength with very little mana.
I also found this deck has an EXTREMELY good match-up against control, my third game (2-0 at this point) against RWU Control I had won the first game by dropping 3 gravecrawlers on turn 2 and banking off the momentum, but game 2 went on for a while, I had only 2 lands most of the game and only drew my third land about 10 turns in. My opponent had about 10 lands and was constantly tapping out or using most of his mana just to stop me. The recursion is RIDICULOUS, he was forced to use sphynx's revelation just to save himself from dieing. My only 2 losses of the day (also only match loss) was against a RBU deck that took advantage of gravecrawlers not being able to block, and killing me with a master of cruelties into searing spear combo twice.
Overall I'm happy I made my deck and hope to win many FNMs with it as it grows stronger and I get better as a player. Pay with your coin or pay with your life!

Why is this tapped as NO RUG? Definitely not a NO RUG deck.

Why Restoration Angel. That makes a maximum of 4 resets versus the 10+ on Parasite. You can literally win with Parasites on the board due to extort on Geralf's Messenger. Bad bad bad change IMO.
