This is the second incarnation of a White/Black aggro/control deck I built. Since I've (mostly) quit the game and sold off my collection, I wanted to keep a fun and versatile deck that I could use to continue playing with some of my friends who still play and are a bit more casual than I was before adulthood threw more bills and less free time at me. I like that it's aggressive and quite good in a 1v1, but also holds its own fairly well in a multiplayer game

The deck focuses on playing, pumping, and protecting a few flyers to whittle my opponent's life down to zero. Playing cards that are both black and white (which is almost all of them) power up my Nightsky Mimics. If I can get and keep two of them out for a few turns, that's usually game. Castigate and Tidehollow Sculler help to throw off the opponent's tempo, keeping them off balance while fast evasive creatures nibble away at their life. Creature destruction helps to keep me and my flyers safe long enough to get my hits in. Extort from a Kingpin's Pet makes sure that excess mana doesn't go to waste.

Notes on changes from Mk. I:In play, games nearly never lasted long enough to trigger the Divinitiy of Prides win-more. This may not be the best deck for them, so I'm going to experiment with alternative finishers. I've got some Hatreds in place right now, but since the deck is so close to Modern legal I'd like to keep it that way. I'm going to experiment with some proxies of Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and Deathbringer Liege before I decide whether to place an order for them.

With the Divinities, and thus any reason to try to cram life gain into the deck gone, Faith's Fetters is now both worse as general removal than Oblivion Ring since it costs 1 more and worse as creature removal than Unmake since it costs 1 more, doesn't trigger Nightsky Mimic, and can be destroyed. My inclination is to mainboard the Unmakes and sideboard some O-Rings.

As an additional note, I find that my vampire nighthawks primarily act as removal magnets or as removal-on-wings, which is just fine with me.
