Hi All! This is a casual toolbox deck built around the new commander Osgir, the Reconstructor . The goal with this deck is to play artifacts that get better when you can copy them!

Eggs: We start our omelette with eggs since they're going to be the protein-rich center that makes the dish come together. That means cheap artifacts that cantrip like Mishra's Bauble , Ichor Wellspring , and Conjurer's Bauble . These will serve to thin our deck without our commander, and will function as powerful card draw with Osgir's abilities. For example, with Mishra's Bauble we can play it, sac it, and reanimate it all for free as a functional 0: Draw 3 at the beginning of the next turn's upkeep. That's value!

Cheese: We love to mix our eggs with some cheese. Cheese being fast mana that gets ridiculous when we can copy it. Mox Opal is a strong card in general, but it feels really good when we can play one, and sac it using it's own mana to our commander in order to generate two mox opals for free. This is a super-charged Sol Ring ! Same concept for Lotus Bloom , Powerstone Shard , Skyclave Relic , you name it. Oh and speaking of Sol Ring, how does paying 1 mana for 2 Sol Rings sound? Pretty good to me! [Edit: In retrospect Mox Opal is legendary. But other rocks are quite good.]

Cookin': Of course, we can't just put eggs and cheese in the skillet without flipping the omelette over for that nice even cooking. We want tons of looting and rummaging to make sure we can toss eggs in the waste basket and keep our hands gassed up! Faithless Looting , Cathartic Reunion , Birgi, God of Storytelling  , Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion , Burning Inquiry , and Goblin Lore , say no more!

Meat: Any good omelette needs meat and veggies! The meat here are the big, bad beaters that will close out the game. Any of these husky boys is great on their own, and even better with a friend. I personally love Myr Battlesphere , Wurmcoil Engine , and Combustible Gearhulk . Special shoutout to Phyrexian Dreadnought . Normally I don't like including cards that are useless without the commander. But this guy gets SO STRONG when he goes to the gym! With Osgir on the battlefield, you can play dreadnought for 1, sac it to itself, and then reanimate two of them with Osgir for 1. Sac one copy to the other, and you've effectively cast a 2-mana 12/12 trample.

Veggies: Now what the heck is happening in the rest of our omelette? The VEGGIES. I hate veggies, but I built the deck and only hit 90 cards or so, and we have to get to that full 100! So what do we do? We look through the fridge and find whatever veggies we can get and toss 'em in. In this case, I decided to add an equipment package. Sword of Fire and Ice , Sword of Sinew and Steel are like mushrooms popping up in every deck. But we've also got some supporting characters like Akiri, Fearless Voyager and Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer . Now here's the thing: Veggies are great when mixed in a dish, but sometimes taste horrible on their own. Let's just hope that we don't get stuck with just a Sigarda's Aid or Koll, the Forgemaster . However if we do, hopefully we can just flip the omelette using one of our rummaging cards we mentioned before and get rid of those bad veggies!

So why do we like veggies? Because sometimes they come together in wonderful ways. For example, with Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist on the battlefield and Colossus Hammer in the graveyard, we can use Osgir to get TWO colossus hammers and equip them FOR FREE. Or heck, let's reanimate two copies of Maul of the Skyclaves for cheap.

Proxy Disclosure: You'll notice this is a budget deck with a handful of ridiculously expensive cards. Why do we have a Mox Opal playing in a deck alongside Spare Supplies ? Because I love jank, but I've always wanted to proxy a few of these expensive cards and play them (like Swords of X and Y, and Phyrexian Dreadnought ). However most of the expensive stuff I don't want to put in other decks. The nice thing about Osgir is that you can drop any of the expensive cards for cheaper alternatives and it will still function great.

Anyways, thank you for cooking with me! If you have any ideas to help improve the deck I would love to hear your suggestions.

Edit: Maybeboard consists of cards I still need to pick up. Will make swaps once I have them.
