Sideboard

Credit to Aspiring Spike, I obviously made changes for my own budget and or EMRY STAN reasons.

Suffering from a crippling lack of Urza’s Saga and Mishra’s Bauble, but making it work.

Fiddlebend into the Crackdown Construct/Lightning Greaves combo (infinite activations for infinite power), shadow spear to push through blockers. Erayo decks have 1) empty hands and 2) bad top decks, but fiddlebender with ensnaring bridge fix those both. Get bridge, then when you’re ready, fiddlebend it away for crackdown and win.

————————————

The biggest thing I’m missing from other versions is a consistent 3 drop to hit other than bridge. 1 drop —> Monitor —> 3 drop feels pretty good, but I don’t know what to put there. Nettlecyst is fine, but I’m usually bridging, so it can’t attack anyway. I’ll have to think on it, and what is cut.

Oh, could tweak the mana base for Vedalken Shackles! Stealing Ragavan sounds fun.

Tournament practice room again, so take these with a grain of salt. Finished out 5 games including that first match vs humans. Final results:

2-0 vs humans -- see previous update. 1-2 vs Scute Swarm lands -- got pretty flooded, but variance happens and I'll take the L 2-1 vs Elves with Devoted Druid combo -- ensnaring bridge didn't stop Ezuri pumping post swing, but I still managed to pull wins out 0-2 vs Zombardment -- Zombies lines up incredibly against me (erayo and bridge do essentially nothing) 2-1 vs Obosh Red -- Opp lost to clock cause they were new to their deck. Bummer cause it was a very close and fun matchup

So overall it was 3-2 for my first 5 matches. Definitely had some punts and misplays (I need a freaking billboard with blinking lights that says "IF YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO GET JEGANTHA"), so the deck takes some learning to pilot well.

For my own record keeping, I flipped erayo in 3 of those matches -- humans, elves, and zombies, who all of cavern hahaha -- which is only 3 out of 13 games, or 23.07%. We'll have to keep track as we go and figure out if that goes up or down, and at what percentage it is or isn't worth it.
