Birgi, God of Storytelling  + Grinning Ignus =Infinite etb/ltb triggers

Birgi, God of Storytelling  +1 mana creature + Cloudstone Curio =Infinite etb/ltb triggers

Warp World + Dualcaster Mage +More permanents than cards in library= Infinite Warp World casts (Note that while this may not win by itself, if other decks have a larger proportion of non-permanents or less token production, their number of permanents will tend to 0)

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts / Coercive Recruiter = Infinite Hasty tokens

Dockside Extortionist + Cloudstone Curio =Infinite mana/etb/ltb (assuming that opponents have a total of 3+ artifacts)

Heat Shimmer + Dualcaster Mage = Infinite Hasty 2/2 tokens/etbs

Coercive Recruiter + Impulsive Pilferer (encore)=4 mana, steal 3 things, and get a refund of 3 mana

Myriad Landscape + Crucible of Worlds = Recurrable Wayfarer's Bauble each turn (activate, then play it for turn)

Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle + Vesuva / Thespian's Stage / Mirage Mirror =Mountains/Fetches Hurt badly....

Urza's Saga + Crucible of Worlds = Recurrable, slow tutor for fun pieces (ramp/wincon/draw)

First the gameplan is to find one of the payoffs for the etb/ltb strategy in the deck, which are listed below. There are also several infinite combos noted above that can be assembled rather painlessly. Aside from winning from those combos, the deck operates by also generating incremental value from Norin entering the battlefield 4 times each turn cycle (assuming that there are 4 players).

  • Altar of the Brood : With etb assisting cards this can very easily mill opponents in just a couple turns. Note that this payoff is readily searchable by Urza's Saga and Goblin Engineer . The later of those is readily tutorable by Moggcatcher , Imperial Recruiter , and Goblin Matron
  • Purphoros, God of the Forge : Eight damage to each opponent per turn cycle? Yes please. This can be found sac-ing Birgi, God of Storytelling   to Pyre of Heroes
  • Impact Tremors : Mini-Purphoros on turn 2 sure.
  • Outpost Siege : Incremental card advantage or passive 4 damage each turn cycle that can pick off X/1's. This is 'in' more as an alternative payoff for the infinite ltb combos. The fact that has a bit of flexibility is a bonus.
  • Genesis Chamber : Doubles Norins ETB triggers. The added benefit of 4 1/1 Myr each turn cycle for a 2-mana investment is also a added benefit. This card makes it hard to run out of blockers as well.
  • Confusion in the Ranks : This card can backfire. Since Norin comes back in under your control each turn, you will likely absorb all creatures on the board over time however. With genesis chamber as well, this will passively steal all opponents artifacts and creatures. This also makes it hard to win for most decks that need creatures (namely commanders).
  • Curse of Opulence / Honor-Worn Shaku : With Norin, both of these are just decent mana rocks 1-mana taps for 1 and 3-mana taps for 2+. Note: don't forget to untap the Shaku each turn.
  • Tome of Legends : Two to throw down and 1-mana draw a card each turn. This is a pretty good value at least in mono-red. Stapling it onto a an artifact adds to permanent count and can be used as Goblin Welder fodder.
  • Warp World / Glimpse of Tomorrow : Warp world is consistently a rather fun game ender and very rarely will backfire given our token production. This is also one of the very few ways for red to remove enchantments. Note Warp World can be a very salty card that people do not want to play against. If you do play this, know how-it-works/rulings, bring a pen and paper/white board for building the resulting stack, and be prepared to explain what is going on. Consult with your group and ask if Warp World is right for you.
