Depends what you're trying to do. Burn, midrange, creatures... I have a dega deck here if you would like another idea: "Screw You" Deck. I think Boros Reckoner , Obzedat, Ghost Council and Hero's Downfall are crucial. Whip of Erebos with obzedat is pretty ridiculous. Good luck!

Oldschool930 Thanks. I really like the creature/Midrange feel But I put in some cruel control for the sake of getting out my big beasts.

I'm not really a fan of Rakdos, Lord of Riots .

are you trying to go with a more creature heavy build? or more control?

I recommend looking at this article, then considering what changes you awnt to make looking farward, for your local meta and your own personal taste.http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/deck/1337

notamardybum personally I like Rakdos, plus I was planning on leaning to be more creature heavy and his second ability is surprisingly strong. Desecration Demon for 2, Blood Baron for 2, Archangel for 2, Aurelia for 4. I haven't playtested him in a deck like this but I would like to give it a shot. I'm probably going to have less control and more creatures, maybe sideboard most of the control. I don't know yet though.

You don't want to run Rakdos because most of those could just be cast on-curve after a four-drop anyway, you wouldn't have more than two available in your hand to cast on turn 5 anyway, and each is individually powerful enough that it can win you the game without Rakdos.

as a 4 drop. I'd rather be playing Desecration Demon . Rakdos, Lord of Riots i dont forsee you playing him until turn 5 or 6, which is when you should already be swinging with the demon and then drop baron and hopefully aurelia.

The first thing you need to decide is picking colors. You're running so much double black, double red, double white. There are a lot of strong and relevant cards in the combinations of W/B/R but you can't have it all and expect to win. Let's start there. (:

ok so my suggestions would be drop Rakdos, Lord of Riots have a good amount of removal like Chained to the Rocks and Dreadbore and Mizzium Mortars . But also leave space for Doom Blade and Warleader's Helix and Hero's Downfall as the instant speed is extremely relevant. You want the top of your curve to have Blood Baron of Vizkopa , Assemble the Legion , Obzedat, Ghost Council , and Elspeth, Sun's Champion as these are the most reliable win conditions. Your support creatures should be a mix of Boros Reckoner Desecration Demon and Stormbreath Dragon as they provide the most value. Be sure not to make the deck top heavy with too many five drops however. Also I'd recommend Underworld Connections as a two of for more card draw

Dreadbore needs to be here for planeswalkers.

Despite my flavor based love for Rakdos, I will be dropping him by popular demand. I have 4 Underworld Connections in my Orzhov Deck and they have proven to be very useful, I may consider them here. I'm also considering Wear / Tear , and I'm not sure what kind of answer I would have for Gods, so I could use some suggestions there. Thanks for all the help so far!

So at this point I'm looking for numbers. I have a lot of cards here and I'm not sure how many of which I should run. I am looking to be creature heavy but still with a good amount of control. Ideas?

So I've separated the cards I want for sideboard vs mainboard. From here I need to balance out a solid mana curve with good proportions on my win cons and then set up my land base accordingly.

As much as I would love to recommend certain cards to use and how many of said cards, it all comes down to personal preference. I can't tell you to use a certain amount of cards that work for me because well, they might not work for you.

If you are looking for an idea, or just a layout to a similar deck, here is mine:

This Deck Is The Reason Why I Have No Friends

But again, like I said, one deck might work for some people, while the same deck might not work for others. Play test your deck lots once you think you have gotten an idea of what you want and don't be afraid to make changes where you see fit.

Sorry I couldn't be that much of any help with giving you advice for building your deck but I wish you the best of luck with making it!

Okay prototype finished. I'm still very tentative about these numbers but I figure now I have something to play test. Any initial thoughts or ideas?

5/4/14I swapped out one Obzedaddy for an Assemble, and it's worked pretty well so far. There's also a Golgari Dredge heavy meta where I play so I put Underworld Cerberus in the sideboard.
