Vendetta has always worked well for me as a replacement for Doom Blade when I need to lower my curve.

fresh_hops Thank you for the input! The life loss of Vendetta is quite the drawback, but I think the lifegain in the deck will make up for it. I also like the "It can't be regenerated" part :)

Thank you again :)

yetisanonymous Mostly because Sublime Archangel is too powerful for my taste, and since I play against the same three people all the time, it just wouldn't be fair.

If you're not playing against the same people, or just wanna give them no chance of winning in most cases, then go for it :)

Using a couple of them would also double the cost of the deck :)

Sublime Archangel is sweet to give you multiple instances of extort on a creature, also maybe a couple copies of Cathedral of War?

Cathedral of War is a decent card for exalted decks.

Then maybe a couple of guys that have protection so they don't get blown up. Like some cheap guys with hexproof or shroud.

The only thing I could find that has built in hexproof is Xathrid Slyblade.

Sublime Archangel would fit fantastic in this deck and I would also try to get some trample in there through the use of equipments. possible options Vorrac Battlehorns, O-Naginata, or for one more mana Chariot of Victory.

Just wondering, do you get a lot of use out of Essence Harvest? Being a sorcery you can't cast it during combat, so your only getting 5 maximum out of it.

Also cheap removal in white? Path to Exile is the most staple of modern cards and will more than serve your purpose. Leagues better than Mortify and Vendetta.

Lastly the swords would the best friend of this deck. Maybe consider them? Budget providing of course they're a pretty penny and then some.

The exalted trigger last until end of turn so you can possibly get a lot more than 5 damage off of it.

drewbob15 I don't have Sublime Archangel in the deck mostly because it's too powerful for my taste and also because a playset of them would double the cost of the deck. You're right about the trample though, but I'm not quite sure which equipment would be the best.

ChairmanMeows I actually haven't considered Path to Exile, even though I have 4 of them in another deck :-/ I'm thinking that it's better than Vendetta, but I kinda wanna keep Mortify in the deck as possible enchantment removal.

Also, I'm not quite sure what you're refering to with "swords".

ChairmanMeows Hmmm. Those swords would make quite an interesting creature xD Although they are somewhat expensive with the cheapest one at 12 dollars :-/

ironcore I'm thinking Hero's Downfall instead of Path to Exile. It's a little more expensive but it does have the ability to remove planeswalkers as well as creatures so I'm thinking it'll make up for it. What do you think?

It depends really, both cards are great at what they do.

  • Path to Exile is a very cheap removal card. The downside is that it only effects creatures. (which can be protected from spells in general)

  • Hero's Downfall is a bit more costly, but can be far more devastating. Some decks have plenty of planeswalkers, others resolve around them. The moment your opponent plays that Krenko, Mob Boss in a goblin Aggro deck or the like. You play this card, probably your opponent's turn was wasted playing that planeswalker, you messed up his strategy at least for the next turn or 2 and it's a mindfuck since he might have (an)other planeswalker(s). The only thing is your opponent might not have any planeswalkers at all which makes this card into a plain old Murder

Now don't be fooled Path to Exile can be just as devastating. In the end, it comes down to your preference.Do you want a cheap removal card against creatures? Or do you want that flexibility and be able to destroy that planeswalker that is hiding behind a wall of creatures?

Also you might want to consider Oblivion Ring the only drawback is thatit can be destroyed and the exiled permanent comes back into play.

Nevermind the Krenko, Mob Boss reference thought he was a planeswalker for some reason. But planeswalkers like Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver or Ugin, the Spirit Dragon are played a lot.
