I went 4-0 at FNM, placing 2nd overall. The only person who did better also went 4-0 and had a better winning percentage then me.
1st game VS American control deck. 2-1
1st match I ran threw him as he didn't get any lands and killed him by turn 4. 2nd match was a long drawn out game were he removed anything I put out. He did damage with a 2/1 creature( forgot name),Pillar of Flame, and . Got down to less then 20 cards in my library before he got me. My ability to keep throwing creatures with haste at him kept me in the game. 3rd match was alot like the 2nd, instead he used up his counter spells then drew 6 straight lands. In that time I got enough creatures to get him down low enough to sacrifice Hellhole Flailer for lethal.
2nd game- VS green blue deck.2-0
Won this no problem, because he got mana starved early and I was able to remove any creatures he had with Searing Spear or Brimestone volley. To be fair his deck never got running.
3rd game VS BOROS RW 2-0
This gentleman had RW enchantment deck based around giving +1/+1 counters to his creatures. However I was able to get creatures out quicker and keep him on the defensive. Only threat he managed to get out was Tajic, Blade of the Legion and a enchantments getting him to +7/+7. He only was able to swing once before Ash Zealot, fervent cather, and bloodfrey giant were out.
4 game VS Angel of Serenity 2-1
1st match went through him before he could get started. 2nd match started the same way then he got Angel of Serenity which i killed with a Dreadbore. That allowed him to get another and he Prevent all damage spells were to much. 3rd match was like the 1st and he was dead before he got started.
Placed 2nd because of winning percentage with 80%, while the winner had 100%. Not complaining though because I beat some very good players in my first standard event. Next week I'll try to give a better run down on how games went. Ke.yplayers were Searing Spear, Ash Zealot, and bloodfrey giant
