A friend asked me to create a deck based on Shanna, Sisay's Legacy and a bunch of creatures.
I've started to build this deck 2 weeks ago, there's so many way to improve that kind of deck, it's hard to choose. Recent addition includes Anointed Procession and a 3rd copy of Song of Freyalise
The idea is to create a bunch of creatures quickly, then kill the opponent that will get overwhelming by creatures and/or the devastating Carnage Tyrant.
Best hand will be:
A turn one forest + Llanowar Elves
A turn two plains or sunpetal groove + Saproling Migration + Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter or Legion's Landing
A turn three untapped land + Song of Freyalise + Sram's Expertise and/or History of Benalia
Finally turn four Carnage Tyrant + Shanna, Sisay's Legacy
Depending how strong is your opponent, he will probably get killed on turn five, with both History of Benalia and Song of Freyalise ending their story and between 8-11 boosted creatures !
Deck is based on Shanna, Sisay's Legacy so the key is to create creatures...
Saproling Migration, Sram's Expertise and History of Benalia can quickly generate a good amount of creatures.
In late game or games against control deck either Oketra the True or Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter can help to keep the tempo, combined with Shalai, Voice of Plenty they become hard to deal with.
Legion's Landing
and Memorial to Glory are also some other alternate ways of getting creatures in case of need.
With all the creatures coming out from everywhere Huatli, Radiant Champion is a must!
To help with the speed and mana base there's Llanowar Elves and Song of Freyalise.
Also I've decided to add to the deck recently 2x Anointed Procession with this the deck became totally abusive, especially if you can get the Huatli's emblem.
Finally some problem solvers:
Cast Out - Can be cycled at the beginning and can remove any anoying god or planeswalker.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty - Mono red decks really hate it, can also protect your key creature (ex: Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter).
Thrashing Brontodon - Can destroy the unwanted artifact or saga.
About the sideboard...
Some extra copies of Cast Out, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Oketra the True and Thrashing Brontodon.
Heroic Intervention a must against control decks
Seal Away can be useful against a god or any other creature hard to deal with.
Oketra's Last Mercy Any fast or burning deck will hate this one.
Ashes of the Abhorrent good against both red deck wins (since it give life when my creatures dies) and reanimator deck like God-Pharaoh's Gift
