"He's dead?"

"Not anymore."

I decided to try my hand at Junk Reanimator! Obviously, the big fat fatties are destined for the graveyard, with Mulch and Grisly Salvage to ensure they get there. Lotleth Troll and Liliana of the Veil open up discarding from hand.

Turn 1: Play a basic land or a shock land, tapped, unless I have an Avacyn's Pilgrim.

Turn 2: Begin playing tap lands, cast Mulch or Lotleth Troll. If I have Grisly Salvage, I will keep my mana open and save it for my opponent's EOT, unless they have a blue deck and I'm afraid of them countering it. If I wait, I can also spend the black to regenerate Lotleth if I need him to block.

Turn 3: Depending on the situation, I can play Lingering Souls, Liliana of the Veil, or Centaur Healer for a boost. Otherwise, self-mill/regeneration. Can also use Pilgrim mana to flashback Unburial Rites and have a fatty like Griselbrand on the field.

I tend to save Craterhoof Behemoth for late game, once I can crank out a few spirit tokens to increase his X value. He's generally my win condition, but I can win with any number of life loss tricks and relentless assaults. Restoration Angel makes for good fun with Thragtusk, Centaur Healer , and Obzedat, Ghost Council .

In a more primitive form, this deck got me to Top 8 at FNM on my first try. The next two attempts got me close, but not so far. Now that I have better mana fixing and more powerful creatures, as well as a lot of practice to know what works and what doesn't, I should be ready to start winning more consistently. Shawn Ellis winning the 5K Open in Orlando with the same kind of deck gives me confidence that Junk Rites is NOT an underpowered archetype in this meta!
