@aced420 Thanks for the suggestions. Phyrexian Revoker , Drown in Sorrow , and Grim Guardian are all great cards. I like Thoughtseize , but unfortunately it's really cost prohibitive at almost 17 bucks a pop. Thoughtrender Lamia seems to be more at home in a discard deck than it would be here, and with it's mana cost it wouldn't see much play in this deck.

I'd leave Erebos and his Whip in the sideboard. Also I wouldn't run Gary at all in aggro. Boarding him alone will change up your deck flow.
-2 Grim Guardian, -1 Pain Seer, -2 Claim of Erebos, -1 Grim Haruspex, -4 Ulcerate
+1 Mogis's Marauder, +1 Herald of Torment
If you can get up to the playset of Bile Blight and Hero's Downfall that'd be awesome.
In 2 CMC, Boon of Erebos works well and will trigger Tormented Hero.
Thoughtseize is pricey but Despise is a decent alternative. It can hit Planeswalkers so it's not completely useless against control matchups.
You don't want too many Drown in Sorrow in your sideboard considering most of your board will be filled with 2/1s 2/2s 1/1s (assuming you play them immediately instead of bestowing).
Brain Maggot sideboard. Spiteful returned is better mainboard than Gnarled Scarhide (but that's just my preference). SIgn in Blood somewhere if you really want card draw (or a pseudo-Shock)

and forgot to mention, the land count is a bit low, even for aggro. Personally, I run 21 Swamps (don't need anything fancy)

I can understand no due to price, but... Thoughtseize , the lesser version of it being Despise

-2 bile blight+2 downfall
despise in sideboard.
green devotion can really mess up your day, and bileblight does not kill Courser of Kruphix

If you have issues with board wipes, try throwing in something like Dictate of Erebos so they suffer too, and maybe some graveyard recursion (I'm not sure what recursion is still legal in standard)

Take out the whip, ulcerates and what not.... you NEED Thoughtseize to avoid losing all your guys to a well placed Anger of the Gods or End Hostilities

Thoughtseize will allow you to get those annoying board wipes or high cost creatures out of the way.
Also Its probably best to stick with 60 cards in your deck.

could splash blue for Negate against sweepers. situational, but might be worth it. could go along with running Ordeal of Thassa , allowing for bigger impact creatures and enabling you to take out Pain Seer if you'd like.

If you can't afford Thoughtseize , you can use Brain Maggot or Despise . I think Ruthless Ripper and maybe (but probably not) Grim Haruspex are too slow for aggro. It's probably a good idea to go up to 4 copies of Herald of Torment . Something else you might want to consider is splashing white for Sorin, Solemn Visitor , Athreos, God of Passage , or Ajani Steadfast .

For board wipes, I would consider splashing in white for Athreos, God of Passage that way when they wipe with Anger of the Gods, Drown in Sorrow or End Hostilities, They have to pay 3 life for each creature to make sure they STAY in the graveyard.

Oh and with white you can also add in Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Utter End ;)

@TrexWantsHighFives Athreos will not help against Anger of the Gods since it exiles creatures it would destroy. Otherwise it looks like a solid option against removal. Maybe as a sideboard if I go white.

Right, those damn last lines of text always throw me off. I dont know what gives everything indestructible in black but maybe a few Ajani's Presence for picking out what creature(s) you want to save most. It seems more like a waste of a sideboard space to me though. Otherwise i guess you try your best to not over-extend your board presence so they arent killing 4-5 creatures at once.

nice deck, +1 from me. May want to consider moving the Nighthowler
into the main if you are having trouble with the board wipes. It's a cheap drop that should make an impression when it comes into play.
Font of Return
in the early game, and sac it when your opponent does wipe the board, this way you'll be putting something onto the battlefield right away.
Odunos River Trawler
would work well also here since you play a handful of enchantment creatures.
Tethmos High Priest
has decent heroic ability that puts stuff right back into play
Dictate of Erebos
would keep things even

Last Breath and Pharika's Cure are both super good. Last Breath deals with both Courser of Kruphix and Goblin Rabblemaster , the two most played creatures in standard. Pharika's Cure deals with Rabblemaster, or any other aggressive strategy, whenever your pulling this from your ride board the life gain is always relevant.

with the nighthowlers and heralds of torments, I'd suggest to add a few Gray Merchant of Asphodel , and at least try to see how it goes. I'd probably go for 2, more is probably overkill. the lifegain could counteract the pain seer too. Endless Obedience can get back the god or merchant, or whatever else seems neccessary at the point.... perhaps a Master of the Feast could get a bit more aggro instead, if you wanna go for that and just don't care about the opponent.

I would suggest Master of the Feast over Nighthowler . Fliers are a big thing in the current standard, especially 5/5 fliers, and its not an awful whip target. Also, you may want to consider Banishing Light over Murderous Cut because you are playing the full 4 Pain Seer

for your sideboard i would suggest Phyrexian Revoker maybe Drown in Sorrow , Thoughtseize also has a place in almost any black deck u may also want to throw in some constellation either Thoughtrender Lamia or Grim Guardian
