BattleWalrus and side1021: Thanks for reminding me! I traded for some Detention Sphere the other day with the plan of sticking them in here. Someone (I think it was BattleWalrus but I could be wrong) had mentioned swapping those out a while ago on here when I was still on the fence about splashing blue.

Femme_Fatale: That's a good idea, and I'd do it if I had the Mana Confluence around. I do tend to gain back enough of the life I lose to City of Brass to have it not be a big deal, and the odds of me having both Urborg and Mana Confluence at the same time are not great, but if one were just now building this deck, that would be a logical route to take.

Oh--and side1021: My next goal for this deck is to swap out some basic lands for shock lands, so I'll be working on getting the Hallowed Fountain and Watery Grave .

Hunted Troll for more synergy.

Inferior to Hunted Phantasm , and too many token generators is kinda asking for it. He isn't actually using any green, that is just the splash colour product of Mercy Killing .

side1021: Definitely not a bad idea. I will have to think about where I might make room for Cloudshift . I love that card.

Cloudshift might make a good replacement for your Dawnfluke s. You would still be bouncing a creature, just wouldnt count for Blood Artist . Its better for removal than Dawnfluke aswell.

BattleWalrus: I'm going to try it out. Also, now that I am drawing faster with Serum Visions , I am going to try going without Beseech the Queen . I'll let you know how it goes! I mainboarded 2x Mark of Asylum , since the Dawnfluke is coming out for now.

Almost no game against tron / scapeshift / ascendancy. Definitely add thoughtseize to the main deck.

Travis Woo put up a list very similar to this a month or two ago. it seemed quite good. and very easy to build.

oOoOOphidian: Beween Inquisition of Kozilek and Stony Silence I can usually shut down tron pretty easily, actually.

SharpJs: Really? Do you have a link, because that is awesome!

side1021: I played 4 rounds with Cloudshift last night, and it is definitely a "win more" card. If you don't have a Hunted Phantasm to cast it on, it's pretty much a dead draw. I think I may try to work in back in here, but for now, I'm going to give Swan Song a try.

griz024: Thanks! I am glad you like it.

How about switch Ghostly Prison with Propaganda and add Master of Waves ? =)

Propaganda isn't modern legal. :(

this seems like a really fun deck to play, i dont play modern so i plan to skip out on the really expensive cards (fetchlands, ghostly prison. etc.).But anyways a great idea so +1 :D

Well_Dressed_shorty: You can definitely build this deck on a budget. Swap out Serum Visions for Read the Bones , Dark Tutelage , or Gitaxian Probe . Swap Ghostly Prison for Norn's Annex , and for the fetch lands, pain lands or check lands work just fine too.

For the sideboard, swap Leyline of Sanctity for Witchbane Orb or Aegis of the Gods , but make sure Mark of Asylum is down before you drop him! Inquisition of Kozilek is probably best replaced with Duress .

I'm glad you like the deck!

Hey all, I really really like this deck, so much so that I went out of my way to make it. However... I took it to my local FNM tonight for modern and got absolutely stomped on by Blood Moon and U/W control.. made me really sad... any suggestions?

Tectonic Edge . As their main win condition is those man-lands. After that, Conqueror's Pledge . That is the main reason why me deck, Kor Legions doesn't lose to control. It was like that even before I had Cavern of Souls in there.

Mikeybish0: Ouch! If you're finding that Blood Moon is prevalent at your LGS, some extra enchantment removal like Erase would be good in the sideboard, though I'm tempted to say just up your number of Detention Sphere since it is more versatile. Swan Song will come in handy too against either deck. And if you know you are playing against Blood Moon , you'll want to use the fetches to grab basic lands, too. But I'm sure you know that.

Casting Path to Exile on your own creature can be helpful against Blood Moon too.

So... not sure why no one has said it yet but Genesis Chamber would be pretty good. they play creatures and get 2 triggers on your drainers and one dies right away. also it is playable through Blood moon. if you think they will be boarding it in, you Board in more Chambers and laugh as they make multiple creatures and get drained for each non-token they make.

SharpJs: I used to have Genesis Chamber in here but I found it was too slow. In most modern games it maybe nets you two or three extra creature triggers under your opponent's control before the game is over.

BattleWalrus: Not a bad idea, though I think Batwing Brume would be more of a game ender.
