What do you think about Worship here?

That might be fun, xaviermacx. I'm trying to think of how it might fit into the strategy I have going (aside from not dying and all.)

Question, what is your answer to Torpor Orb ? That might be a problem :/

Excellent deck! Have you thought of adding in Hunted Horror ? Its drawback is rather risky, but nothing that Mercy Killing can't handle.

Or perhaps Hunted Troll , since Illness in the Ranks would outright kill the faerie tokens. I'm not sure if you'd want to splash green for it, or if the Forbidden Orchards would be enough to cast it.

This is probably the coolest modern deck I've ever seen. +1

Lhurgyof Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

Outriderblue: I have considered Hunted Horror . If I had Illness in the Ranks and Blood Artist down, he'd be fun to hit with a Mercy Killing . At the moment I'm trying to rely less on Blood Artist , though, because I'm finding people tend to use all their creature hate on it. Still, it is worth considering. The two extra ETB triggers don't help much, but with Ghostly Prison it's unlikely they'd want to use those centaurs to attack me.

Dreno33: I'd love to, but it's just so much more expensive. With the lifegain and low CMC I have in here, Dark Tutelage ends up working just fine.

Alright then, just don't go dying on me, lol.

Dreno33: In an earlier version of this deck, I committed suicide with a Dark Prophecy by popping a big Ajani's Pridemate with Mercy Killing while Illness in the Ranks was down. I wasn't going to survive the turn anyway, but it was fun just to see it happen. It was a casual game.

Lol, I love Dark Prophecy , a very underrated card. I always try to squeeze it in my black edh decks if I have 35+ creatures in the deck.

Would Bitterblossom be good for you? The synergy it has with the soul sisters is great.

It be risky agaisnt decks with board wipes but Bitterblossom would do very well in here considering you the life back if not. More when they enter

Another alternative to Bitterblossom would be Thraben Doomsayer Great deck! +1

I really like the way this deck looks! I am just kind of concerned as to how consistent it is. I will playtest this deck and the playtester makes my opening hands really crappy! I know its just the playtester and decks usually run better in real life, that is my only concern to this deck!

Crypticity, Jamesfurrow, Pawn: I would love Bitterblossom in here, it's just so expensive. I will have to think about Thraben Doomsayer . He'd be great in here. I just wish I had ways of untapping him.

3n3rgy2: I did a few tweaks recently and haven't had time to do a lot of playtesting with the current build. There are a lot more 2-ofs than there used to be, but I was finding that I needed a bit more control. The crucial cards (Suture Priest, Illness in the Ranks, Blood Artist, Blood Seeker) I haven't touched, but I've tried to diversify it a bit.

I added in some Hunted Horror today and played a game with it, and it rocks. It all depends on the meta of your LGS. Where I am playing, this deck is performing pretty well. I'm not taking first place with it, but I'm winning enough rounds that I can often take home a booster.

See now, if I were to make this deck (which I will lol I love gimmick decks) i would drop the 2 Children of Korlis and add in 2 more Soul's Attendant just because the CoK will only sit there until you pop him off, where as the Soul's Attendant will give you life constantly! I find the inclusion of Hunted Horror is wicked in this type of deck! +1 from me! While i'm at it i think if I dropped the 2 Gift of Immortality and added in 2 more Lingering Souls , then this deck would be near perfect! I would also find some way to include 1 more copy of Ghostly Prison but, that's just accommodating for the playgroup i play with! This way the cards we add and replace literally do not affect the mana curve :) Sick deck, bud!

3n3rgy2: What you are describing is pretty much exactly how it was last week XD. I put Children of Korlis back in (after taking it out once because it was sort of an odd man out) when I added Grave Pact . Enchanted with Gift of Immortality , it gets really hard to take out, and you're making them sac every time you do it.

3n3rgy2: And yeah, there are few situations in this deck in which it's not an awesome idea to hit your own Hunted Horror with Mercy Killing .

What do you think about the new Endless Obedience

August 2, 2014 12:36 p.m.

Plus i'd also agree that a full 4 of Soul's Attendant would be best. By the way, i'm in love with this fucking deck. <3<3

BattleWalrus: Thanks!

Endless Obedience would be sweet in here, especially in games where I was making people sacrifice with Grave Pact .

I used to have 4x Soul's Attendant but I went down to 3 when I was making room for some other stuff that seemed more important than the lifegain. My first instinct is to go down to 3 Hunted Horror to put one more back in, but he's so damn useful in this deck for dealing major damage (and getting major lifegain) early on. What would you axe for an extra Soul's Attendant ?

August 2, 2014 3:36 p.m.

BattleWalrus says... #25

Im not sure wat you would tutor with beseech the queen. Id take them both out for 1 more horror and 1 more illness in the ranks personally. Everything else looks really tight.
