That's kind of the point, WesomeNight... Thrax is designed to resolve, get big, and light people up.
Since you get to play blue, you get access to draw and to counter magic, which totally allows you to carry out the plan of a Thrax beat down.
Also, alexsmith21, Fact or Fiction can be used perfectly with Archaeomancer. Just a suggestion, I'd recommend putting that in there for keeps, if you can!

So equipment that will allow you to drawl cards seems good or even better Rhystic Study. Notion Thief would help if your meta has allot of blue and green decks in it. You could try to use Past in Flamesand Mystic Retrieval with Torpor Orb to hate out the format and couple it with Leyline of the Void.
IDK why you don't play Lashwrithe and Nightmare Lash coupled with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, but hey that would just be too easy I guess.

Just so you know, this guy hasn't been on for 2 months. Also, I think you have some decent ideas, but the only reason I commented in the first place is because your first comment was unnecessarily rude and came out of left freaking field.
Bottom line is, you bring up good points, but this deck's creator hasn't been on in a while and may not see them. Secondly, don't have a pissing contest. If you help, be constructive, not destructive.
Thanks.

Looks like I picked a good day to log in ;)
Thanks for your input @WesomeNight. But yes, that's exactly the point of the deck. Death by attrition, and let Thrax swing in big. I've had some equipment in this deck in the past, but found that without Thrax on the board, early game, or if he gets killed too often, they were dead draws. I've toyed with Past in Flames and other flashback spells, Yawgmoth's Will is still the grandaddy of them all.
The oppression happens quick, with card draw and ramp dropping soon, and thats what sets this deck apart. It's able to exert huge amounts of pressure on opponents without actually having to engage them. Should an opponent engage, their alpha strike is bounced, champion is killed, or combo is stopped. Dropping Thrax on turn 4-5 is a big deal. What are your thoughts on Mystic Remora over Rhystic Study?
@freakingShane, good input, I like the synergy that Fact or Fiction has with Archaeomancer. Dropping Impulse for it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Depends on the deck, but Rhystic Study is better for my deck because I run Possibility Storm and I run into lots of creature decks that play only a minority of non creature spells or the ones they do play they pay for. Mystic Remora is good vs Notion Thief and if you can bring it back from the grave. So the decision is super color and deck dependant. being that white gives you the best ability to bring back enchantments.

Have you tried running Rooftop Storm? Because Thraximundar is a zombie, Rooftop Storm lets you cast him for free, without paying his increased cost over and over again. Plus, it can work well with infinite sac combos, like Rooftop Storm + Thraximundar + Blasting Station.

Yahenni, Undying Partisan is a must. Massive growth, a free sacrifice outlet, easy indestructibility... it's all just too good to resist.

@gossamerglenn; It's too slow and fragile for my meta. Thopter Assembly needs to survive a turn, and its a fairly obvious tell about what will likely happen next.

Are you still playing this deck with Thrax as the commander or have you canalized it? If you are, seeing some updates would be interesting. I'm also keen to hear how has this deck done against partners, Atraxa or Kess.

I don't know the point of this deck other than 2 resolve thrax and swing in while removing threats.. I mean it doesn't look better than my casual build and I don't know how it deals with infinite combo shenanigans Other than trying to use counter magic.
