Mono-White might just make a triumphant return with the addition of a few excellent cards from 2014 and Theros. Path of Bravery and Banisher Priest allow for a bigger creature presence and lifegain. Archangel of Thune works hand in hand with the Path of Bravery and Fiendslayer Paladin . Precinct Captain allows for more creatures to work with the lifegain and bonuses from Path of Bravery . Whip of Erebos gives all my creatures lifelink which, again, triggers Archangel of Thune. Angel of Serenity creates a late game board change that can defeat your opponent pretty handily.

As for the sideboard, Obzedat, Ghost's Council needs no introduction. His synergy with Whip of Erebos needs no explanation. Fiendslayer Paladin can be swapped in if playing a burn/kill deck. Celestial Flare and Orzhov Charm provide much needed removal. Xathrid Necromancer provides a means to create more presence after a wipe. Sanguine Bond works amazingly well with Path of Bravery ,Whip of Erebos, and Frontline Medic. Add to that the +1/+1 counters from Archangel of Thune and you have some hard hitting creatures that get tougher and tougher while increasing your life total and lowering your opponents.

I appreciate everyone's feedback and would like to hear some ideas.

Perfect Hand Win:

T1 - Plains, play Soldier of the Pantheon

T2 - Plains, play Precinct Captain, attack with Soldier of the Pantheon for 2 damage

T3 - Mutavault, play Fiendslayer Paladin , attack with Soldier of the Pantheon and Precinct Captain for 4 damage and a make soldier token (6 total damage)

T4 - Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Path of Bravery and Spear of Heliod, attack with Soldier of the Pantheon , Precinct Captain, the soldier token, and Fiendslayer Paladin for 15 damage and make a token (21 total damage, +9 life for you).

Theros Replaces Innistrad — Sept. 24, 2013

I have recently updated the deck with M14 and Theros cards. The loss of Innistrad will severely degrade most decks in Standard but will, hopefully, create more varied decks to play against (I hate Thraggy+Resto with a passion...because EVERYONE played it.)

I have mostly black in the SB which creates a different deck mainboard. Hopefully this deck continues to Top 8 me (Top 2 last Tuesday :D ).
