Pantheon is a modern deck based on the Theros Gods specially how to play active with them instead of just a support.

Ephara, Heliod, Thassa and Keranos are the gods we are going to play. Ephara is the main one because she has a great synergy with Ardent Plea.

Ardent Plea is for this deck what Bloodbraid Elf was for Jund. When you play this card you get double value. First is the devotion (White + Blue) and second another Enchantment that will protect (Greater Auramancy) you or get more card advantage (Spreading Seas).

Greater Auramancy protects your other enchantments from spot removal and that includes your gods. If you have two copies of It on the battlefield your opponent will have to play global removal instead of spot ones.

Leyline of Sanctity protects you from burn and discard while increasing your devotion at the same time. Ghostly Prison protects you against aggro. Worship protects your life points and since your gods are indestructible if you have a Greater Auramancy on the field it will be very difficult to kill you.

Norin the Wary has a great synergy with Ephara, God of the Polis. Every time you or your opponent cast something or tries to attack Norin will escape and return during the end phase. Every time a creature enters the battlefield on your side you will draw a card during next upkeep (from both players).

Other synergy is with Supreme Verdict. It could not be countered and it will not affect your gods and neither Norin.
