If Stoneforge Mystic were legal, what cards would you swap out to include it? I am interested in playing this deck with friends, and while we remain competitive its still casual where any card goes.

Remove the Steelshaper's Gift for them rhelme92. They fit the same purpose, but having an additional batch of kors for Armament Master to buff is nice, plus makes it a irritating bugger to deal with against control. You will however have to put in another land.
As for the learning curve, the difficulty is figuring out when to play your combo pieces and your resources. For example, a turn one kor will always be followed by a turn 2 1 cmc equip cost equipment if I only have one land. This can generally mean that I'm hitting them down even running on only one land, or using Paradise Mantle for more mana. But if I have 2 mana, do I want to play 2 equipments, do I want to play Lightning Greaves, do I want to play Puresteel Paladin ... It becomes trying to figure out what your opponent is playing by turn 2.
The 2nd hardest thing to learn is equipment juggling. Leonin Shikari and Puresteel Paladin combo means you can fend off against any removal spell and block against any creature attack, as long as you know how to juggle your equipments properly. Oh, and don't forget, you can proc the equip cost on your equipments as many times as you want when you have Leonin Shikari. So if you do so desire, you can target your creatures with Lightning Greaves even after they responded to your initial Lightning Greaves equip proc. It is quite fun watching them realize that they just wasted two removal spells trying to get past a combo that says "all creatures you control have shroud".
As for the Mox Opals, they aren't necessary Adelysium, but without them, this deck looses a large portion of competitive value. They help my mana base both pre and post sideboard oh so much that without them, this deck wouldn't function like it does now.

Unfortunately, and I am very sad to say this, is that it isn't viable as a card main or sideboard Ziggyra. 4 spells is very had to get at many times, and it generally requires a heavy boardstate advantage anyways. Under these conditions it just means that it is a win more card. My 1 cmc counterspells fit the bill currently.

Have you ever used Bonesplitter? I had a deck very similar to this one for awhile that eventually got turned into my Nahiri, the Lithomancer edh deck. Mine focused less on the tokens and more on the Kor Duelist and Kitesail Apprentice, but regardless, swinging for 6 damage on turn 2 was always hilarious.
I also prefer Swiftfoot Boots to Lightning Greaves because they can protect your Armament Master better when you don't have a Leonin Shikari out. With Lightning Greaves, if you want to throw more equipment on, you have to unequip it first which can cause some vulnerability.

Oh an instead of Puresight Merrow I ran Mentor of the Meek to get card draw off the creatures, while letting Puresteel Paladin draw me off the equipment.

Sorry, just saw Swiftfoot Boots is in your "cards I won't use" list, x] I'd be curious to know why though.

Something like Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant could be useful, especially with the token provided by either Conqueror's Pledge or the Monastery Mentor. It's more the direction it places the deck in and potentially takes the smaller kor 1-drops away and turns that into life gain. They still fit the 'human tribe' for two of the three key pieces(Steelshaper and Monk) which works for being uncoiunterable via Cavern of Souls

Those cards are worthless PtyLtd, as they are not kors. They do not get buffed by my equipments nor do they get buffed by my Armament Master. I cannot hit the opponent with 4 or 3 damage on turn 2 with them either, so the deck loses a massive chunk of its aggro-ness.

Exactly what I meant with the direction, longer term or aggro. Keep up the good work though

They are also crunk against control or midrange. The 1 drop kors are superbly awesome in that they bypass a lot of the counterspells one sees in modern, and yet come out as 2/x's with double strike or 3/x's with flying. Their cheapness and yet ability to get buffed by effects that the control player can't deal with pair very well with the ability to sneak them in after baiting out removal and other spells. Another thing to mention is that a 1/1 that MAY gain me a minimal (like 2-7) amount of life but provides no board presence against the heavy board state of midrange decks and does nothing to speed the clock up against control. Finally, the life dorks would remove 2 win conditions, the 1 drop kors themselves (as they are a win condition) and the consistency of the Armament Master win condition.

Holy F. o.o Dis deck... I have no idea how I landed here when I was trying several ways to build a non soul sisters Squadron Hawk deck... just damn... I love it... Squaks seem bad though...
Also played with that Mox Opal + Retract bit... that is just intensely awesome! A hand with a land, mox, paladin and 4 0 drop equipments is just insane for digging up cards... o.o
I wish I could +1 twice.

Seeing as your deck no longer runs any kors, why not change the deck title to fit one of its new primary win conditions? Something like Monastery Mayhem for example.

Eh, I want something catchy. This name worked because it exemplified the most important and most interesting quality about the deck: Kor. Kor are pretty popular and interesting, and a lot of casual folks really enjoy them, so advertising Kor right up front is what brought a lot of views to this deck. But now there isn't that much of a casual appeal to this deck, so I need something else to bring people in.

Hmm...My brother Cipher001 has a lot more creativity than I do, maybe he can think of a name for you.
March 27, 2015 12:06 a.m.
Someone call my name? Okay, so I don't know your preference in a style of Intro, so I'll just go with the easy "story mode" style. This may not be to your liking; if it isn't, please tell me what is incompatible to your preferences, and I will do my best to work on that knowledge. The title works on Monastery Mentor mainly, and how many religions follow a certain "path", such as The Jeskai Way. Here it is, a potential title and Intro hook.
Path to Perfection
Long ago, this deck hailed to the mighty Kor Legions, proud soldiers that held artifacts and victory in the same hand fate dealt them. But fate is a fickle friend, and not even the Kor could withstand changes to their wartorn world-- Abrupt Decay would follow a Creeping Corrosion, preceding a vast Stony Silence. The deck no longer holds the Kor, but the wise and powerful monks, aided by those who pledged themselves to the Path. The Path is unyielding. The Path is strengthened by the prowess of its people. The Path is perfection.

I'm glad you like it. I was afraid it might not be to your liking.

I changed it to how I feel felt more to the aspects of the deck and what it lost to. It's also a little more detailed. I shall credit you regardless Cipher001.

You don't have to-- the way it is now looks a fair bit different from the original, enough for you to be able to call it your own.

Oh hush. I would not have been able to write it without your groundwork, as such I must put down references :3

No suggestions from me, I've just got to say how incredible this deck looks. I've read through your entire description, and I'm about to read it again. Is therr a bit of a learning curve to this deck? I feel like I would have to play it a while to begin to see all the possibilities you've mentioned in any given matchup. But again, excellent job on this deck.
