@ Nox.LD and killersuv

I don't think either of you two know how to play the deck properly. I've been able to frequently cast both Conqueror's Pledge and Nomads' Assembly on turn 4 or 5 and at times on turn 3. I occasionally have a problem with the land, about 4 times out of every 30 tries or so, but I only have to mulligan once in that time. The main problem is never really the land, but whether or not I get Puresteel Paladin out. If I don't have him out I'm only using about 1-3 creatures to attack, but they easily become things like a 4/7 vigilance flying creature and a 3/5 double strike reach creature fast enough for me to through serious damage turns 3 and onward.

As for the issue of Conqueror's Pledge and Nomads' Assembly , I face a lot U/X control decks, the ones that use the wraths and the man-lands to win. These two cards quickly bring me back the boardstate and I have won many a game for me when my initial creatures aren't good enough.

As for the removal, I have no need for The melira-pod match up is accounted for as a few creature's won't get past their creatures before the combo goes off. Hence is why I need the Puresteel Paladin +Paradise Mantle to early Conqueror's Pledge +Nomads' Assembly combo. Besides the occasional pod decks and combo-control decks, I don't face enough threat that my creatures can't get by on their own. Poor guy who spent a shit tonne on his Tarmogoyf 's raged when they proved useless against this deck. I put in Brave the Elements in the side as I'm more worried about removal used by my opponents then my own removal.

However, against other meta's this deck might not work so well so I can understand why people constantly suggest running Path to Exile . If you want a different meta build it is very easy to make. It should also be to note that I don't go to tournaments other than my local FNM. So I don't make my decks to face against anything but my local play group.

Or you could just as easily as splash black for discard and Dark Confidant .

... it just so happens that that list has everything as a 3 of. But I figured it would be the most balanced deck to play in terms of numbers that way without having to playtest it. I'll make a deck-list of this one for others as well, I'm pretty sure for those who have the money they would like this deck-list a lot. Perhaps maybe Basilisk Collar and/or Infiltration Lens in this one? Later I may make a Morglen deck for the golgari control cards so I can put in the swords instead of all the low CMC equipments.

No worries

This is great, ever since I first saw Armament Master I hoped that someday I would see a deck made around him. And here it is. I was a little worried with your mana base at first, but after reading the description I can see how the deck works. Very effective. I never really considered the synergy that Puresteel Paladin and armament master + kor tokens have. It's very close to a combo deck. I run an aggressive modern equipment myself called Sons of Plunder, but the engine combo shenanigans you can get out are way past anything my deck can generate that quickly. So, nice work!!

Another creature who would fit well with your deck is Auriok Steelshaper , given that he is a soldier, reduces equip costs a bit, and potentially provides his own buff. He's kind of like a weaker fusion of the paladin and master. But given your current success it seems like you don't really need him.

For your land, you should put your Flagstones count up to 4! There is no reason not to run 4 anymore with the new legend change, as you can tap each for mana before it is sacrificed. And this may seem a little unfeasible, but given the capacity for your draw engine, have you ever considered running a single Emeria, The Sky Ruin ? If say you managed to get a good deal of cards out after a rampage but an opponent ended it with Supreme Verdict , Damnation , Mutilate or something similar, you could recover creatures from your graveyard. Sun Titan would also perform this function, and could help continuously recover your fetchlands. :)

Last thing I wanted to mention, in your description you said that you would equip your creature with Lightning Greaves and Paradise Mantle - just wanted to make sure you were aware that once a creature has the greaves attached, due to the non-hexproof conditions of shroud, it can't be targetted by anything (including your own equipment and spells). It has to be unequipped first. I found this out the hard way myself, and thus have taken to running Swiftfoot Boots in my own equipment deck. Otherwise, amazing deck and hats off! +1

Thanks for the +1 MetaphysicalxProdigy~ And sorry for taking so long for the reply ... I forgot about this comment >.<

And yeah, being one of my first decks I'm happy it has worked so well

I know that this deck needs changes, but I'm really hesitant to do so. I'd hate screwing around with the rule of 17 this deck follows, it would also mean changing the best conditions, which I would say bring forth a majority of the upvotes.

I won't add Emeria, The Sky Ruin or Sun Titan . I already have my anti-wrath cards and those are Conqueror's Pledge and Nomads' Assembly . I never really had a problem with wrath's before so re-animation isn't what I need. You can go really really slow with this deck, and that is how you beat control, oddly enough. Also, it will be difficult to have 7 or more lands to this deck considering the land count and Flagstones of Trokair .

The best thing about Lightning Greaves is that I don't have to worry too much about its shroud because it costs 0 to equip. I can just as easily equip it to another creature, attach all the other necessary equipments, then re-equip Lightning Greaves .

I used to use Auriok Steelshaper , but now that I think about him he would fit. I always have problems when I don't have Puresteel Paladin in play so having something else that would lower equip costs would be really nice. It means that I can use the Lightning Greaves + Paradise Mantle combo with him as well.

So it means that I have to change this deck's structure and the description. I really don't want to change the description, nor the rule of 17 this deck follows v.v

Basically, I'll be doing this: Removing Nomads' Assembly altogether, putting Flagstones of Trokair as a three of, and upping Conqueror's Pledge to a 4 of. Then I would be reducing Lightning Greaves as a two of, (I rarely want more than one) and reducing Armament Master as a three of to put in two Auriok Steelshaper s in. What do you think?

Also, later I'll be making an Orzhov tempo Kor tribal, basically the same one I have listed in an earlier comment. But first, I have to complete my modern Show and Tell decks.

Impressive. I love artifacts and boosting creatures with +1/+1, though I'm surprised I didn't see Coat of Arms in there since you're playing with tribal soldiers. I use it in my Grey Goo deck. It's an awesome card and it combos beautifully with Conqueror's Pledge and Nomads' Assembly . I think it's worth at least a maybeboard entry.

Coat of Arms is just a win more card ImThatGuy, I already have an effective buffer, and that is Armament Master .

Though thanks for the +1~

You don't GEOforce20. Nowhere in my description does it state that you can get infinite mana out of it.

Please look at my updates and "cards I will not use" tab before making a suggestion cyeRunner.

Could I recommend Kor Firewalker or Devout Lightcaster for a sideboard option. although I am new to modern they may be a bit slow but they did justice for me when I played Equip and Swing in standard when zendikar was legal. I really enjoy and wanna build a similar deck +1.

It's fine GEOforce20, just remember to read descriptions and updates properly before making a post. People worked hard on those. It's like skiping the end credits of a video-game. How would it feel if you were charged for making something that you knew no one wanted to read? I pity them, the credit makers.

Brass Squire isn't fast enough Josijo. it only procs once so all of my other artifact modifiers are much more reliable. Also, it costs 3, so it is much slower.

Those may have been good in standard back in the day goldenrooster, but in moidern there are much better alternatives. RDW hate has Leyline of Sanctity , and I'm using Brave the Elements for black removal protection.

Though thanks for the +1's~

Hey a little tip possibly add Ancient Den because its a land and artifact which can help out Puresteel Paladin a whole lot plus spells like Thoughtseize can't remove it because its a land so it helps a loot for those equips :)

Have you thought about sideboarding any of the Scars of Mirrodin swords instead of some of that graveyard hate? Which sword would depend on the metagame where you play, since the protection is probably the most valuable element, personally, I'd go for either Sword of War and Peace or Sword of Feast and Famine . Maybe even Sword of Light and Shadow if you prefer.

COUNTERSPELL: Counter a spell or ability by equipping Lightning Greaves to a creature targeted by the spell or ability in response thanks to Leonin Shikari .

I ONLY HAVE TWO HANDS: Equip 3 or more Bone Saw /Accorder's Shield to the same creature and attack with it.

FABULOUS: Play Paradise Mantle , attach it to at least one creature, and never tap the equipped creature for mana before winning.

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: Cast Conqueror's Pledge with a Flagstones of Trokair on the battlefield and win in the same turn.

Love this deck. I understand the whole "pay nothing for card draw" with Puresteel Paladin , but I still think that throwing a few Basilisk Collar s in would be deadly, hehe, when given to Kor Duelist . Plus one regardless!
