@kedrar_pa yea that's why I suggested him, but I still am not sure if this is a deck you want to go all out with that synergy. If you do you need at least 3 soulflayers for a consistent finisher

This deck seems dirty and I love it. You've got my +1!
I do have a question about Palace Siege though. Is the point of it to put a clock on your opponent using Dragons mode because Khans mode seems like a nonbo with Soulflayer.

Palace Siege has been in there since before the inclusion of Soulflayer. When it comes out now, I choose Dragons, for exactly the reason you're stating. Before, I chose Khans to get my critters back, but that goes against Soulflayer's main strength. I'll probably replace them, although the clock and life-gain aren't the worst things in the world.

Nice to see this! I have a green deck with Heir of the Wilds and Deathmist Raptor and Pathway Arrows to pull off the same trick. It had problems with a few decks out there though so I haven't been playing it. The problems are: Tokens, where pinging tokens is an endless job, Rally Aristocrats which got too much value from death, and Eldrazi Ramp where Ugin and Ulamog just don't care about little deathtouchers.
I wonder how this deck fares against those.

I think Erebos's Titan is a good choice give the creature removal power of this deck, also it is rather cheap for a mythic

@jubale, I made a competitive version of this deck about a week ago(credit for idea went to Kedrar), and I have 3 Dragonlord Silumgar Main to deal with Drazi Ramp, and 2 Infinite Obliteration in board. Also with the dragons You can probably win token matchups, and there are board wipes in main & board

Silumgar, the Drifting Death is crucial for matchups against Tokens. I see you have 1 in the sideboard, perhaps another?

Hilarious! +1
I'd suggest Macabre Waltz for more efficient graveyard returning (being able to return and cast one or two creatures in the same turn is good!)

What i love about gurmag swiftwing is because of all its card effects it immediately draws Ultimate Price/whatever removal. Whats devastating is when you use Grave Strength on a swiftwing.

Thornbite Staff as a one-of, just for the hilarity of pinging all their creatures to death in one turn.

I don't understand what you are trying to return? Dutiful Return makes no sense with what you are trying to do. Ruthless Ripper, however, is very good in this decklist.

@kedrar_pa yea i probably need another, maybe 1 in main as another finisher

This could be a fun budget modern combo deck, and it would open up to other Pathway Arrows like Viridian Longbow.

Also, as mentioned above, -2 Typhoid Rats +2 Ruthless Ripper, as she is strictly better than rats. I would still keep some rats for redundancy.

You are strictly correct. Changes made, still under $30.

Just wanted to mention that this deck was so fun to play. I have been wanting to have an all death touch deck for a long time and once I saw your interaction with Pathway Arrows I was sold. Laying out a Pathway Arrows turn one they were like.... Okay....then I started laying the death touch creatures and the look on their faces was priceless.
For me, the deck struggled against burn though. I lost both my rounds with Wild Slash and Crater's Claws
However when it was my death touch creatures in the battle field vs. theirs it was so fun to watch the frustration of them deciding on whether to attack or not.
Just wanted to give some insight on how the deck played for me. Hope it goes well for you since you created it.

Thanks. I've been having fun playing it on UnTapped.in. I've had a few rage-quits while playing this. I'm only a few cards short of having a paper version to take to my next FNM. It has many shortcomings, like those you mentioned. Don't forget that equipment falls to the ground when the equipped creature dies. Also, you can move equipment around as long as you have the mana to pay for it. Have you tried it out since I added Necromantic Summons? I'm getting ready to go and try it out now.

I have not tried it since you added Necromantic Summons. With all of your hand removal options like Despise and Transgress the Mind, depending on the match up it could be really effective.
Imagine getting Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger in their graveyard turn 1 with Despise. You have Necromantic Summons turn five. Even without the casting effects, that would be super fun to do!!!!

Love the idea. Just a quick note: Rakshasa's Secret is strictly better than Mind Rot since both Soulflayer and Graveblade Marauder want stuff in your graveyard (unless you expect problems with mill).
Also, good to see you again @Ashockfan.

I would also consider more Malakir Cullblade, as it can get out of hand quickly and provides another needed win-con. Your matchup against hardened scales must be fantastic.

Hilariously, Ulamog isn't that terrible as it can be tapped down every turn with Pathway Arrows.

I've been tutoring it up with Sidisi, and it usually comes out as a 4/4 flyer with deathtouch for only a couple mana, which can give me some help finishing, which has been a problem for this deck.
