Just wondering why Ruinous Path is so good. I've been seeing it in alot of standard decks lately. A 4/4 for 7 CmC is value. I play modern mostly though, so mabye I'm just used to more (shots fired, standard fans :3).

Ruinous Path is popular because of the cheap cost of destroying a planeswalker like Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Jace, Telepath Unbound Flip which are pretty big on Standard right now.

The only difference between Ruinous Path and Hero's Downfall is that standard loses a Planeswalker removal at instant speed. If it wasn't for that I would take downfall over path

Thank you for your help. I love this deck, I am building it right now and I look forward to crushing my friends, but my other friend is also building this deck. Check out my decks and +1 them plz.

oh! That makes sense, as my meta isn't very plans walker heavy. Since BFZ came out, I've only ever played against 1 Jace, Telepath Unbound Flip, and even he came in late game when the outcome was already decided. Thanks for the help!

I've ran into Jace at FNM and he is a B**** when flipped. When your opponent drops Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip; especially on Turn 2, he has to go ASAP.

i pulled Jace, Vyrn's Pridogy in a booster i won at an Origins draft

Pathway arrows + deathtouch is a great combo I'd never thought of but I don't know how the deck would actually cope getting the wins

Yea it's awesome... I have a version that's trying to be competitive on my page, in sultai colors. I think it could be something that works with tweaking

Have you checked out the config of my deck lately? I've been tweaking it, and I now have this version in paper. It actually does OK. It's also fun to pilot. My favorite part, and the thing I am getting the most enjoyment out of playing live, is the look on my opponent's face when they realize what's going on.
Deck: < $30
Look on opponents' faces: Priceless

Yea I love it. If I build something like it it'll probably be mono color like yours. I'm just saying it's not very competitive, and I've been trying to make a competitive version

Which version? A deck like this should be fine for FNM
December 14, 2015 11:22 a.m.
If you're willing to spend a little bank the more competitive version might be better and well, more competitive

I know it's not standard, but Midnight Charm's second ability is amazing with your deathtouch creatures

Being able to surprise a blocker with a deathtouch first-striker would be fun. Maybe something similar will come out in Oath. Thanks.

kedrar_pa - It's what makes Ankle Shanker so iconic.
"If you want to prevent the damage, you're going to have to sacrifice a creature!"

How about adding in Transgress the Mind to get rid of big creatures such as Ulamog, not just discarding them but EXILING them

I had a similar idea with G 15 Deathtouch,Its modern but I'm all into budget. Can you check it out and say what you think? It doesn't have as much dicard control as yours, but I think its a bit faster :PPS: Just started playing mtg 2 months ago, don't be too harsh xDD

How do you get a score, like yours is 82 (right now)?
