@AgentJackjohn thats definitely a really fun commander to play!

About it not being on this primer; the list of commanders is not all-inclusive because there are THOUSANDS, and it's possible to miss a few. I'll add it real quick thank you :)

Here some potentially decent commanders that aren't on the list yet:

Boros: Truefire Captain and maybe Legion Guildmage

Simic: Frilled Mystic

Rakdos: Fireblade Artist

Gruul: Molderhulk

Bastion Protector is not EDH Pauper legal, it's rare.

cthhtc says... #4

Actually, you should search by rarity and cut a few cards.

February 26, 2019 11:48 p.m.

Podkomorka says... #5

@cthhtc and you shouldn't only use the gatherer to search card rarity. As you can see Bastion Protector is uncommon as of a set named Legendary Cube. Whether a set is online only or not is irrelevant to PDH rules for rarity.

What are some other cards you found rarity issues with?

Yep just double-checked. Nothing here is out of place.

@cthhtc: As Podkomorka said, PDH does not just go by paper legality but encompasses all cards that have ever been printed at common (or uncommon in the case of commanders). Gatherer is a great tool but does not contain every online printing in Magic, Scryfall is the gold standard for checking rarities. Here are two references regarding legality in PDH: PDH Homebase, MTG Wiki.

I've been playing

Each player starts off with 35 life Whenever a player has been dealt 18 combat damage by any one commander that player is removed from the game

And it's been fine. But I just saw that here it's 30 and 16. I'll have to try that out with my friends and see if everyone likes that better

Can someone tell me if Corpsejack Menace is legal as your Pauper Commander? Because on here it says that it is, but on scryfall.com it says that Corpsejack Menace is not legel in the regular pauper format, so I am confused because I wanted to build a deck around him. Thank you!

Podkomorka says... #10

@TriggerThatCombo Corpsejack is legal because it was uncommon in Iconic Masters. Scryfall does not have a legality for pdh, and pauper legal will just tell you if it was a common anyway. When using scryfall you can search by Uncommon rarity to find commanders though :) also check out mine

Krosan warchief didnt make the cut?

Ruffigan says... #12

That's a good one, added to the list.

Bastion Protector is on your list, but isn't pauper legal, unfortunately. Would be a pretty great commander choice ---> https://scryfall.com/card/c15/1/bastion-protector

Podkomorka says... #14

@ Ruffigan Man we get this alot we should have a section that goes into detail about the oddities

@ Asunami Protector was made uncommon in an online set called Legendary Cube. https://scryfall.com/card/pz1/1/bastion-protector

Thank you though for looking out though, we appreciate when people can catch things we do overlook!

@Podkomorka: I created a FAQ section that mentions Bastion Protector and folded the Watchlist into the FAQ, which can be replaced completely when the Tier List is finished.

So, can a common creature be a commander?

May 15, 2019 1:17 p.m.

Flooremoji says... #17

SynergyBuild, I do not believe so. May I ask if you had any specific common creatures in mind :) ?

May 19, 2019 12:43 p.m.

Ruffigan says... #18

@SynergyBuild: They cannot but if your group is ok with it then go for it. I'd personally love to build a Gray Merchant deck if they were.

It was some tribal Wirewood Savage list I'd turn a 60-card Pauper deck into.

They are already on the list.

Siren of the Silent Song seems to be missing. It makes for a good combo commander. Why does Tappedout.net think it's not Pauper EDH legal?

May 30, 2019 2:11 p.m.

Flooremoji says... #23

Sephyrias: If it's not listed as the commander, it might not show up as legal.

If it is, TO's mot omnipotent :)

Added to the list. It is a good option for the Banishing Knack combo.
