Species Gorger makes a pretty entertaining U/G commander, the deck revolves around ETB effects

Chief of the Foundry and quite a few others from Origins seem interesting and maybe overlooked.

Updated the list with some uncommons from Origins. I'm really not sold on Chief of the Foundry, though. Colorless has a lot of problems with drawing cards so any commander that does not generate card advantage is out of the running in my eyes. But if you think you could make it work I'd like to see it. :)

Hey Ruffigan, I wanted to add a bit of a input for all those looking to dive into the Pauper EDH life...
First off, Ruffigan did an AMAZING job putting all of these resources together. USE them. Evasion is SO critical due to the scarcity of boardwipes.
As for me, I wanted to share my build with you. It definitely lacks evasion but I wanted the challenge. I am used to playing baleful strix so this is a refresh for me, haha.
Anyways, it is colorless ramp, lol.

Thanks Dreno33, I really appreciate it! I'm trying to do an overhaul of the primer right now with some banners and stuff so stay tuned for that.
I have also tried doing Burnished Hart, and it does surprisingly well (against stuff that's not blue). If you can land your Hart and it sticks around 'til your next turn you can start ramping pretty hard, and the Eldrazi and artifact beaters as finishers are nothing to sneeze. Just wish it had more removal available. I've tried making a Mindless Automaton deck, as well, and it works ok. Instant speed draw when it gets targeted is nice, and it gets pretty big if you discard your excess lands/mana rocks into it.

Ruffigan, just note. you should never play your Burnished Hart with the ability to sac it immediately. Wait until you have 6 mana. Play your 4 drops/5 drops until you build up the mana. it is too risky to wait a turn.
However, you would feel much safer playing it if you had your Glasses of Urza out, which I run. but I usually still wouldn't, lol.

I'm intrigued after hearing about the format, so I just grabbed a handful of cards and flipped thru to find uncommon creatures that could serve as a cmdr?:
Flame-Kin Zealot, Ticking Gnomes, Millikin, Sapphire Drake, Flinthoof Boar, Flayer Drone, Null Caller, Weapons Trainer

I'd love to know what success people have found so far, and/or see some sample lists. You've got Bloodbraid Elf listed as Tier 1, but I'd love to know how this deck can win? Ascended Lawmage sounds fun as I'm still working on Sigarda, Host of Herons hexproof/auras deck simultaneously. Mistmeadow Witch also looks like a control cmdr, but would like to know if it works?
I also found... Hellkite Hatchling, Boggart Ram-Gang, Nulltread Gargantuan, Selkie Hedge-Mage, Jhessian Infiltrator, Qasali Ambusher (could always be a free cast), Wasp Lancer, Inkfathom Witch, Thoughtcutter Agent, Murderous Redcap, Ashenmoor Gouger, Blood Cultist, Gwyllion Hedge-Mage, Ichor Rats, Battleground Geist, Thrummingbird, Llanowar Mentor, and Tatterkite ...as possibilities?

Also, the Paragons of all colors (i.e., Paragon of Open Graves, etc.)? Plus Carnage Gladiator and Korozda Gorgon seem interesting.

Bloodbraid Elf is basically just elf-ball ramp with some Eldrazi for finishers. It's explosiveness is the real kicker; Bloodbraid typically comes out turn 3, bringing in an ETB elf or a free draw/ramp spell, and as long you don't get blown out by a Crypt Rats or something you quickly take over the game.
Mistmeadow Witch is probably the best commander I've seen. Control, cheap blinking, combo-friendly with Ghostly Flicker and Displace. If Mistmeadow resolves it's going to be hell for your opponent.

Vampire Nighthawk? Also, can we get some common generals up in here?

Seems like it could be a good aggro deck for 1v1, not sure it would do so hot in multiplayer though. It doesn't provide card advantage and requires you to use cards to trigger its ability (and red is already scraping the bottom of the barrel in PDH card draw). I'd like to see a 1v1 list though, I think it could rival Atog in speed.

Curious as to why Bartel Runeaxe is on the list, as he's Legendary (even though I think he is uncommon).

I really like the idea of the format but my one problem with it is that the power level will be so low that with a four player match the games would take ages.

Also is it like any uncommon creatures for the commander or just the ones listed.

In My, very Limited, experience with the format. The games are actually quite fast. Ppl tend to build very aggressive decks, since boardwipes and cardadvantage is rare.
Any uncommon can be the Commander, the List is meant as good suggestions.

Cavern Harpy for Dimir? It's been working out really well. It has a lot of power, and basically ignores Commander tax because it spends most of the game in your hand/on the field.

I really like Nyx Weaver for a grinder recursion deck. It lets me get back a Tortured Existence or a Disturbed Burial while also making a decent blocker that passively fills the grave to get me targets.

Mindmelter and Resolute Blademaster are both pretty good.
