2x Faerie Trickery, good especially against graveyard strategy's.
2x Mana Leak, good counter spell but the first to be side-boarded out.

4x Into the Roil, very good and can give us a replacement card.
Creature Spells
4x Delver of Secrets
, a 3/2 flyer for one yes please!
4x Sea Gate Oracle, he is good, a solid blocker and he lets us choose what card we want out of the top two; so a draw spell and creature all in one.

Spire Golem
, the most we pay for it is 3 and that is okay for a 2/4 flyer, but most of the time we pay 1 or 2 for it.
Draw Spells
4x Ponder, I like Ponder more then Preordain but I could see an argument for Preordain over Ponder.
2x Brainstorm, if our opponent does not play a spell we want to counter then we can still get some card advantage on their turn.
Miscellaneous Spells
2x Gitaxian Probe, it replaces itself, we can play it for free, and we get to see our opponents hand, all good.

Piracy Charm
, this is surprisingly good, we can use it to kill's a lot of creatures in the format, and can be used to make any of our creatures bigger.
Land
14x Island, we need the 14 so we can get one in our opening hand.

Quicksand
, this is a perfect for a control deck and is surprisingly useful for killing a lot pesky creatures like Ninja of the Deep Hours.
Side Board

Annul
, good against Affinity and all enchantment based decks.

Steel Sabotage
, good against Affinity they play a lot creatures fast so we need this.
3x Dispel, good against Burn and Black-Control. Burn is a little to fast for us and Black-Control kills all our creatures and that makes us sad.
2x Blue Elemental Blast, grate against burn and all red decks.
2x Echoing Truth, more help for us against the pesky creature aggro decks, like white weenie.

Serrated Arrows
, we play this for the same reason we play Echoing Truth.
2x Relic of Progenitus, so good against all the Delve decks.
