Round One (vs. WB Aggro) (2-0): Game one I survived double Nightsky Mimic by eating food! I had enough pressure on board to kill on the backswing. Game two an endless stream of KPredators kept my board safe from edicts.
Round Two (vs. MonoBlack Control) (1-2): Game one I ground my opponent into a topdeck war despite completely whiffing on a Winding Way, only for him to draw exactly Victim of Night + Geth's Verdict to answer Murasa Behemoth + Blastoderm, then I drew nothing but mana. Would have won had I drawn literally anything off of Winding Way. Game two got double-Gary'ed from a winning boardstate, but managed to Disintegrate for lethal. Game three I mulliganed to five and got punished by an early Wrench Mind.
Round Three (BYE)
Conclusion (1-1): Were it not for terrible luck, this would have been a good showing. Murasa Behemoth has been eating a lot of unconditional removal lately, suggesting the format is in a place where other threats might be preferable. Wardscale Croc is also underwhelming in my particular metagame, where monoblack is running Whisper Agent. It's still a good card to resolve against U Delver, but I'm cooling on the card.
