Pauper R/G Morbid

Pauper*

zamiero

Red and Green may require some finesse to get a functional Pauper deck...

But the sheer size of the spells and creatures may make it worth it. I imagine in my local playgroup there's going to be a lot of single-target removal and a lot of small, aggressive creatures.

Bequeathal on an Eldrazi token seems like a ridiculously efficient play. More entertainment can be found by burning an opponent's creature after blockers, then Hunger of the Howlpack my attacker. Or maybe just piling on +1/+1 counters to a single creature, then attack for 7 or more! There are many possibilities when I can kill my own creatures or tokens on command for no additional cost!

So the "boon" cycle from Alpha is banned in our group for Pauper. This means Lightning Bolt and Dark Ritual are not available for deckbuilding, but also that Healing Salve and Giant Growth are part of the same abyss. My mischievous side prompted me to put in a single of copy of Brute Force .

Bequeathal on an Eldrazi token is in fact an awesome play.

I actually play this deck in non-Pauper games against my group's Casual decks. While not always a winner, I am often surprised how relevant it is. I guess efficient and effective draft-style Magic (combat tricks and big creatures with a mildly aggressive start) never goes out of style.

As a result of playing the deck in non-Pauper games my strategy should be capable of handling the decks relying on one of the following:

Soul Warden, Rancor, Lightning Bolt and/or Lightning Helix, Boros Reckoner, Master of the Feast, Lingering Souls, an early Giant Adephage or other large monster.
