working on a pauper deck for a new standard pauper style local tournament since I can't afford to buy cards for fnm's and standard tourneys. Since its pauper and the current meta is already very aggressive as it is, I'm assuming creatures aren't going to get too huge and evasive without being highly costed. So, I'm going for a white/green weenie-enchantment style deck. Enchantments are nice right now in theros with the bestow ability, and white is always powerful in the 1-2 drop range for aggro. Also the card that win's the second most amount of games outright in regular standard right now is God's Willing, so that baby definitely swayed me a bit. The fact that I can cast enchantment creatures as either an enchant, or a creature and still have it give ethereal armor the pump makes the armor extremely powerful, and I will often try to play them early, which means possibility of getting 2 for 1'd, which is not great in a white weenie, especially since I have zero card draw (although a little scrying). So, I added green, and I'm gonna see if the ggates and whatnot slow the deck down too much or not. I also like the idea of a sedge scorpion in here for either a blocker or a guy I can pump up for cheap with a bestow creature since no one wants to waste 3 burn on a 1/1 one drop. I'm thinking u/b is gonna be the biggest threat, but I don't know, so I'll update after I play some matchups. Still working on the deck, I just used magiccards (.info) and filtered a search into the colors I want to play in standard and picked out the cards that caught my eye. So ill be plopping them back and forth from my maybe board into the main board in the coming week.
