Im not only using the sundial for magosi, but for other things that i cant really think of off the top of my head right now.

@schrammletz i kinda get what your saying, but the way your saying it is confusing. can you clear it up for me please.

@beaver2445 having acces to white mana a hundred percent of the time is better. thanks. I had a artifact deck before i found out about tappedout, and i ran 4 glint hawks yeah with 0 drops they rock. But spellskites will help so much to protect the paladin. the idols i ran to but then took out cause they began to slow down my deck. the swords are my main equipment in this deck and id rather be able to pump up my creatures to get a small army of pumped up monsters instead of just a huge army of small creatures. Plus the way im running the deck with that many swords, i get an increased amount of them and i pump creatures like the paladin, champion, and memnite.

Plus mox opal isnt a guarantee in each game and thats just one combo. Memnite would work too plus the relic. I might take out 1 of each of the body and mind and feast and famine. war and peace stays in no matter what. the card is amazing and iin my opinion the best fit to this deck. Look at my changes and tell me what you think.

I hear ya. The main improvement was the lands. Didn't have any trouble playing anything. Yea, the glint hawk idols are slow. They're a neat sideboard card against heavy burn as they're artifacts that become creatures rather than actually being creatures, meaning they survive board wipes. The glint hawks have the most advantage maxed as they're great early game. The swords would probably make more of a difference in the long run than glint hawks would at 2, so I would put the swords back in. Perhaps sideboard 2 glint hawk idols in place of the swords that go back in. Or put it back to the original sideboard setup.

So your saying it was better before i made changes right. I think i will put the idols in sideboard in place of 2x mana leak.

Beaver-person-thing is right, Glint Hawk Idol works better because it's an artifact, but I would still run 2 in SB in place of a idol and a sundial. Sundial just isn't good without its combos. Anyway I was just saying that I thought you could do without two lands, but playtesting showed me I was wrong.

I just had a funny thought. It's called Tolarian Academy . If only it was standard and not banned...

I was actually just looking at that card in an edh deck and i was like, if that was standard i would put that in. But ya. I had cut down from 21 lands to 19. I tried it and i got just enough lands each time.

Thanks everyone for the help and +1's.

Nice dude! This looks really good. I don't know if you may prefer to just get Swiftfoot Boots instead of Spellskite , but other than that this looks awesome. +1

Spellskite protects the paladin, but umm..i think you forgot to actually +1 it. Also i am sad along with you that knights are going out.

deck looks nice. only suggestion I have is Trinket Mage. Trinket Mage gives you the chance to look for your equipment and thin your deck some.

QuentinD says... #10

Trinket Mage is good, but i think it might slow this deck down.

Might keep you from metal crafting sooner. Its atleast a good option if you cant find what your looking for.

True. But if i dont have a puresteel yet, but i have like a champion and memnite and maybe an equipment or 2, and that in my hand, i wouldnt play it. I would use the equipment on my creatures.

Well, I hope I go against something like that with a Mono-Green M12 Aggro I'm making. Awesome deck tho.

@crg77

I think the boots are great, hexproof and haste and all. But for me its not really a card that i wished was in the deck.

I started gathering up cards, so far i have:

2x Puresteel Paladin 4x card:Accorder's Shield 3x Darksteel Relic 4x Etched Champion 4x Glacial Fortress 2x Seachrome Coast 4x Signal Pest 10x Plains 4x Memnite

Having to get 8 swords and 3 Mox Opal s is gonna freakin suck.Plus a playset of 10$ Spellskite s.

Demarge says... #22

Did you think of Spidersilk Net instead of Darksteel Relic in this deck? Or maybe Kite Shield if this is for post rotation.

July 14, 2011 9:45 p.m.

QuentinD says... #23

Kite Shield i looked at and yes it is post rotation, but i like the relic better for some reason. The relic can stay in case of elspeths -5 or another destroy this artifact type of card. In late game with not that many options left , both kinda suck, but in early/mid-game the relic stays alive to get back to metalcraft quicker. Also considering the reprinting of Worldslayer i think the relic is better.
