This is a thematic budget deck. The theme, as indicated in the name, is gothic horror, drawing heavily on Innistrad and Rakdos. Vampires, demons, and crazy cultists are the bread and butter of the deck, with witches and werewolves on the side. This deck doesn't win frequently; I break it out after winning a game, usually. That being said, the deck can win, if you play it right.

Plan A for the deck is to win with Mortal Combat. The goal, then, is to fill your graveyard with creatures. This is accomplished by targeting yourself with cards like Balustrade Spy and Extractor Demon .

Barring Mortal Combat, the deck's main schtick is making creatures fight each other. After all, crazy blood cultists are fond of their blood sport. Don't get into a fair fight though, bring along some deathtouch. Gorgon head flail and Archetype of Finality help out any creature, but some like Nirkana Cutthroat or Vampire Nighthawk murder things naturally. Beyond taking deathtouch to the Arena , things like Furystoke Giant and Chandra's Ignition help spread the murderous love. Chandra's Ignition + Vampire Nighthawk is particularly hilarious.

Now, Underworld Cerberus and Witchbane Orb are there to protect the graveyard, but if you don't draw them, you're in a perilous position. I recommend making Faustian pacts with any player that seems vaguely competent. Bargaining material ranges from: "I won't murder every creature you ever play," to "I'll murder every creature he/she plays, if you want." Always try to get the most bang for your murder; if someone is about to die, and you can stop it, offer to help! That's what demons are for, after all...
