Blood Artist has an amazing art, fits with the card and looks stupendous, yet I have to give my vorte to Goblin Swine-Rider as it's the first card that made me want to know the artist's name. I just find it hilarious!

Hmm. This is tough. I would go #1 Champion of the Parish #2 Moonveil Dragon and #3 Vorapede .

Master Transmuter , Platinum Emperion , and the promo Phyrexian Metamorph

Best foil by far is Voidmage Husher , if you get the chance, look at one, the circle is beautiful.
Best non-foil is Damia, Sage of Stone , the picture is so interesting so much to look at, and yet I get the weird feeling if I look into those eyes I will turn to stone lol

I really think Raymond Swanland is the artist who should win this competition. :) I love him. It's really hard to pick my favourite, but http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?output=spoiler&method=visual&action=advanced&artist=[%22Raymond+Swanland%22] (how do I do external links here?)
Ruhan of the Fomori is pretty wicked, and I love the blue in the tornado in Devastation Tide , but my vote goes to Wurmcoil Engine because it's awesome, and it already has votes.

I really like the art for Restoration Angel , it angle is nice and the artist did a really good job with the overall composition, especially the way her dress waves in the wind. Although Blood Artist seems more like one of those cards I would use as a wallpaper, as it's not a simplistic design and if art is truly in the eye of the beholder, who can argue with the artistic realism depiction? Also the angle really allows for the viewer to fully grasp the room which he paints in, not flat at all.Now I didn't really want to vote for 3, but for the longest time I've loved the art for Angelic Destiny , the detail and overall composition amazes me, with the wallpaper that Wizards of the coast hands out I really like to study the detail which I'm unable to see on the card, and the way the stained glass wings were placed behind her really makes it look like a "destiny" moment instead of "Hey here's a simple enchantment, break a leg!"
There's my 2 cents.

I have to agree with Long_con. Looking at Raymond Swanland's work, with the http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?output=spoiler&method=visual&action=advanced&artist=[%22Raymond+Swanland%22] web page, he has some pretty amazing art skills.

I would rant about how etched champion isn't good art but I don't think this is the time or place for that.

I'm wild about Scour for some reason... I think the artwork is borderline impressionistic (to me), and it just looks so good!

Steve Argyle is an art god... I love this one, First of all, I tend to like redheads, and this one is done in a way that makes her seem like she is flying through the forest using the vines rather than the power of flight. I love the detail and lighting as well.

@Mpz5: YAY! Someone else who thinks Scour 's art is brilliant! I'm not alone!
@Long_Con: If we are talking about which artist should win, it should be Raymond Swanland. The art of his that'll always stick out to me is Nyxathid . It looks so suitably brutal and awesome and earth-shattering, and the design is brill!

my vote is torn between Blood Artist which i have in french, just because it seems to fit his flavor so much with his paintception and Apocalypse Hydra because the not only is the hydra itself drawn to the smallest detail, but the army fighting it is also drawn with incredible detail and I love the fact that the hydra is rampaging through a building and not giving a shit

Glimpse the Unthinkable . I love the facial expression.

I'd have to go with Moonveil Dragon and Master Transmuter . They're both incredibly detailed and complement the color of the card border incredibly well, with Moonveil being an oddly perfect contrast, while with the Transmuter it feels like the art and the rest of the card is actually one cohesive product rather than a piece of art on a card.
Also, I think I might have some sort of odd circle fetish.

I'm joining Tarv with a vote for Venser vs. Koth Preordain . The reflections capture the uncertainty and thrill of scrying the future, even as the metallic blue hues and floating objects assure us that it is an entirely Mirrodin-centric card concept.

Savor the Moment , just imagine being hunted down, and relishing the last moments of life. The art conveys it well
