For those of you that have been playing for a while all I would like to say is there is a reason they called it the "black summer" for those of you who don't remember ice age standard Google it. They named a time of year around a card. Now that's what I called broken.

I vote IslandMTG Card: Island. It's so broken. Without it, you wouldn't be able to cast Jace, the Mind SculptorMTG Card: Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Time WalkMTG Card: Time Walk, any multitude of counterspells, Ancestral RecallMTG Card: Ancestral Recall, TimetwisterMTG Card: Timetwister and the oh so powerful, Storm CrowMTG Card: Storm Crow

I feel that any card that can find its way on the the vintage restricted list would be a serious contender for the best MTG card ever.

TinkerMTG Card: Tinker is for me, one of the more ridiculous ones. Although it is only in today's time that we see how truly broken it is. Consider turn 1 IslandMTG Card: Island,Mana CryptMTG Card: Mana Crypt and then cast TinkerMTG Card: Tinker sacrificing the Mana CryptMTG Card: Mana Crypt and searching Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus. Phenomenal power.

I personaly only know standard cards. I'd have to say Phyrexian Obliterator MTG Card: Phyrexian Obliterator , if the opponent doesn't have some sort of removal to take care of him, they're screwed. Ive had so many rage quits while playing online because of him lol.

Platinum EmperionMTG Card: Platinum Emperion!! Whenever he hits the table, if he isn't taken care of right away, all of my opponents groan! Also Pelakka WurmMTG Card: Pelakka Wurm and Engulfing SlagwurmMTG Card: Engulfing Slagwurm. They are hated so much by the people I play with because of me. Concerted EffortMTG Card: Concerted Effort is also very amazing! I've also found that I'm increasingly using Sundial of the InfiniteMTG Card: Sundial of the Infinite in all of my decks because it's so amazingly good!

I vote Snapcaster MageMTG Card: Snapcaster Mage because not only is it very powerful, but it gives you a lot of variety and options when you play it. I have so much fun with that card. It is also as good as nearly any instant/sorcery that will ever be printed.

I kinda like Braid of FireMTG Card: Braid of Fire, especially that I don't have to worry about mana burn. That baby + Charmbreaker DevilsMTG Card: Charmbreaker Devils + Comet StormMTG Card: Comet Storm in the grave? I hope you got removal on hand...

Surprised that Bloodbraid ElfMTG Card: Bloodbraid Elf hasn't made the list. Arguable one of the best creatures ever, 3/2 haste AND get another permanent out for CMC of 4. Wow... Makes Vengvine amazing.

Sol RingMTG Card: Sol Ring and Dark RitualMTG Card: Dark Ritual tend to help do some crazy stuff.

Also, Wurmcoil EngineMTG Card: Wurmcoil Engine itself is pretty tough to deal with, if it gets out.

TinkerMTG Card: Tinker. Cheap, versatile, game winning.

Turning a MemniteMTG Card: Memnite into anything for 3? Cannot argue.

I don't play much other than Standard and I've only been playing magic since the Shards block, so for that reason my choices are more recent:

Snapcaster MageMTG Card: Snapcaster Mage, Jace, the Mind SculptorMTG Card: Jace, the Mind Sculptor, and DismemberMTG Card: Dismember

Snapcaster MageMTG Card: Snapcaster Mage: Flashback is rediculous on cards that weren't meant to be flashed-back.

Jace, the Mind SculptorMTG Card: Jace, the Mind Sculptor: the most rediculous planeswalker ever printed and there was a time when he was in every blue deck for obvious reasons.

DismemberMTG Card: Dismember: iffy, but giving any color removal capability really gets rid of black advantage.

Wait, I thought you said no Power Nine, and yet you've listed Moxen as being votable for and people have voted for Time WalkMTG Card: Time Walk. I could have sworn those were Power Nine.

Anyway, might have to say NecropotenceMTG Card: Necropotence for my answer.

I can't decide between:1. TinkerMTG Card: Tinker for reasons explained above.2. Arcbound RavagerMTG Card: Arcbound Ravager When he was in standard his deck dominated and even still in modern this deck sees a lot of play and a lot of wins. I love this card so much. So powerful.3. Gaea's CradleMTG Card: Gaea's Cradle Produces rediculous amounts of mana. Amazing.
