Haha. You haven't asked! :P
So anyways, with this new deck, I assume you're aiming for damage. I'd do what you just said but I'd also find room for some counterspells since it looks like you're drifting towards a midrange deck

@ tempest -- The original idea was Kaboomist + Hellkite Tyrant + ton of artifacts = clock for my opponents. However that rotates out soon, which is part of my motivation for these changes. Let me list out some more elaborate changes:
Cut:
- 2x Hellkite Tyrant
- 3x Guttersnipe
- 2x Goblin Kaboomist
- 2x Anthem (either two of one, or one of each. Thoughts?
Add:
- 4x Ensoul Artifact
- 3x Skittering Doom Engine
- 1x Chief Engineer
- 1x Um...
I'm thinking of removing the Kaboomist and anthems entirely. Without a lot of either, the other doesn't have much use. If I remove them, I have 4 more slots for a playset of a counterspell and another land?

I always feel like when you're playing with counterspells, even just a few, 6 is the lowest number to go, because you have a much better chance of getting one and keeping it until you need it. If you can find the room, 4x Dissolve and 2x Cancel may be the way to go.

At the very least you may want a couple in the sideboard.

I've been waiting for UR artifacts: they're my 2 favorite things. Now if only I played Standard.
I do have to ask about the 2 Darksteel Forge . Seems like a 1-of considering its CMC and the fact that it makes itself indestructible. I don't think there's a lot of exiling artifacts cards played in Standard right now (well, not good ones). If someone does manage to get rid of it (like it was countered, discarded, or milled), you can always get it back with Trading Post .
Anyway, I like the additions you're planning. I'm now monitoring this deck. +1

There's Revoke Existence , which I'm pretty sure exists in sideboards of decks with white.

@ GoldGhost012 -- Agreed. Let's try to find room for 6 counterspells.
@ brokendwarf -- Agreed regarding Darksteel Forge . What are your thoughts about the Kaboomist and anthem effects? Just drop them, or keep a few?

I feel like the anthem and Kaboomist, along with the other goblins, will have their own deck. I say drop them. Definitely add the Ensoul Artifact, Skittering Doom Engine, Chief Engineer, and counterspells

@ brokendwarf -- That's what I've been thinking, It originally started off as a deck centered around the Kaboomist, anthems, and Hellkite Tyrant , but the new artifacts are just too good to pass up. Plus the win con rotates soon.

I think I'm in need another creature. Preferably one that makes creature tokens. 2 Goblin Rabblemasters anyone?
July 3, 2014 12:24 p.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #12
Looking good!
With Rabblemaster though, those tokens aren't going to stick around; they'll probably get killed in the attack unless you're attacking with your 5/5 Ornithopter . So it doesn't build up very fast at all.
I've always wondered though, is Hammer of Purphoros for putting immediate pressure on opponents?
July 3, 2014 12:27 p.m.
brokendwarf says... #14
It's gross just thinking about it. Swing with the huge Ornithopter , Shrapnel Blast it.
July 3, 2014 12:28 p.m.
ducttapedeckbox says... #16
@ GoldGhost012 -- Right. They have to attack. Meh. Hammer of Purphoros is for a late-game mana sink. Once I have enough lands/creatures to drop any of my 6-drops, I can start popping my lands for more aggression.

I would like to fit another Young Pyromancer or two in here. Not sure where though....and I'd rather have a Skittering Doom Engine, swing, then Shrapnel Blast that for 11.
July 3, 2014 12:31 p.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #18
I would suggest either the Hammer (cause SONP can act as your mana sink), a Trading Post , or a Shock .
July 3, 2014 12:35 p.m.
ducttapedeckbox says... #19
@ GoldGhost012 -- I think I'll drop the Hammer and a Trading Post - both worked best with the Kaboomist build, but Trading Post is still very helpful.
July 3, 2014 1:23 p.m.
Darksteel Citadel mixed with ensoul artifact pretty much gave you a 2 mana 5/5 indestructible that on its off chance gets you a mana

@ NUCLE4R -- Yup, that's what Inertia Bubble is representing until Ensoul Artifact is entered into our database :)
@ ThorneSupremicy -- Thanks!

kurkesh, Onakke ancient might be able to find a place in your deck if khans is willing to bring in some worthwile tap and/or enter the battfield etc. artifacts.
July 3, 2014 2:41 p.m.
ducttapedeckbox says... #24
@ NUCLE4R -- That's what I've been hoping for. I really like Kurkesh, but there really aren't any artifacts in Standard right now that he can pair with (or at least that would be useful in this deck).
July 3, 2014 2:51 p.m.
Crazedsteno88 says... #25
Doesn't Kurkesh work really nicely with Trading Post ? I'd run 3 Trading Post in this deck more chance of pulling one and having two in play is always good. Cool deck + 1 from me.
ducttapedeckbox says... #1
@ tempest -- Well, I haven't seen you comment on myyy decks. And that's all that matters. :P jk. Anyways, that's amazing, I hadn't thought of that combo hahaha.
@ GoldGhost012 -- Mhmm....
Let's start small.. Cut the Guttersnipe s and a Hellkite Tyrant for Ensoul Artifact?
