This is my attempt at a hybrid midrange-mill build. We have mid-game beaters that the colors give us access too, along with a rather powerful mill engine. The focus of this deck is on Altar of the Brood, getting at least 2 triggers per turn (which, with multiple Altars out, can eat a huge portion of your opponent's library). The Altar also acts as a countermeasure to the increasingly popular Courser of Kruphix. Combined with Fetchlands, the Courser lets our opponents easily set up their draws... until I mill the card they wanted.

This deck is designed to play according to the opponent's deck; during a slower game versus control, we can slowly mill them out while we play lands and small, seemingly non-threating permanents. And, in more aggressive matches, we have our mid-game beaters to overpower them.

It is my belief that elaborate deck descriptions are not, and should not, be necessary for most decks (the exception being extreme combo decks). This deck is not a combo deck, and therefore I will not be providing an elaborate card choice section. If a choice isn't self-explanatory or there is a card that more appropriately fills a roll, please bring it to my attention.
