I threw this deck together and seems really effective. Gonna try adding Propaganda as a sideboard for creature heavy speed decks.

Just casual kitchen table playing... but I like having budget decks to play... easy to make an expensive beatdown deck but nice to set a budget and hold your own.

The deck was played as a budget-standard deck pre-rotation to theros and since hasnt been updated or anything done with it, so you wont see all of the good mill modern/legacy mill cards in here unfortunately "/

@ Kmylo -- See Pyroshade's comment. This deck was meant for Standard play when Innistrad and Theros were the legal blocks and hasn't been updated to reflect the current Standard. This is mostly due to the lack of powerful mill spells in Standard. Maybe the Khans block will give us some goodies to work with.

I recommend maybe a few copies of Tome Scour

gster0402- " I have to disagree and argue that Tome Scour is a poor replacement for Thought Scour . Thought Scour is in here for the draw power, and the mill it provides is a bonus. To replace it, I'd be looking for a low-costing draw card. Doom Blade can replace Grisly Spectacle , although I think the latter might stick around in the SB." -ducttapedeckbox, post #11

Is this deck good for multiplayer? Like free for all?

September 27, 2015 12:28 p.m.

Not particularly, mw2noobbuster. A lot of the mill spells target a single opponent, so you wouldn't be milling equally. You could probably try, or adapt the list to work better.

Also note that this list hasn't been updated, let alone touched, for a very long time.

Nemesis of Reason? Same cost as Consuming Aberration and guaranteed 10 card mill. I made a mill deck as well, but with added discard. Is there any changes you would suggest? Just a run of the mill deck

How do people keep finding this deck? It hasn't been touched in ages.

Nemesis could be a good change, The_Jesster.

You should update this deck with legacy budget cards since it rotaed out long ago. Keep the budget mill alive for all the casual players!

ducttapedeckbox Please update this to be a budget modern mill! People keep finding this because it's a good mill deck for under $50. There are really no good modern mill decks under $150 on tapped out (that I can find). With other decks going in the hundreds, a good budget deck becomes a lot more attractive.

December 12, 2015 11:10 a.m.

@ N3XT - I will not turn one of the most enjoyable decks I've made into a losing Modern deck. This deck would not stand a chance in Modern, even if you had hundreds of dollars to pour into it. If you're looking to play Modern, I highly suggest that you look into something like mono-blue Tron, burn, or another archetype. I can recommend building this deck for a casual environment though - it's a lot of fun to play with other decks of comparable strength!
