The idea for this deck is not at all mine, but I am pleased to be adding some Theros block cards that I have not seen in this style of deck.
Obviously the idea of this deck is to get out
Melira, Sylvok Outcast
and then start sacrificing creatures - specifically Murderous Redcap. Because
Melira, Sylvok Outcast
is so important, I have Diabolic Tutor in here to help me find her (or other cards that are necessary for the combo) and I have Imp's Mischief in here to, hopefully, keep her alive and on the field (although I am also considering
Shunt
because there is no loss of life, but
Shunt
costs more).
Now this deck has the
Melira, Sylvok Outcast
, Viscera Seer, and Murderous Redcap infinite combo. So if all of them get onto the field, I win. However, I wanted to see if I could build this deck WITHOUT Birthing Pod and without relying on just that one combo. That is why I have some of the scry damage and that is why I have the burn spells in here. I don't like when decks are completely built around one combo because I get bored, so I am looking for other ways to do damage.
When I am playing people I don't like I can put Kitchen Finks in here so I can gain all the life too, but for right now I still want to see how I can keep this deck fresh and interesting game after game. I would love some thoughts, however, if anyone has any suggestions!
