How about some Blinkmoth Nexus or Inkmoth Nexus instead of Dimir Aqueduct ? I don't think I've ever seen a Modular Persist deck before. What can I say, I love unusual and creative things. +1

Oh, and thanks for checking out my Autumn: Days of Earth, Wind, and Fire deck. ;)

I kinda like bouncelands because they let me play a 20 lands deck like a 24 land deck. I don't know about (bl)inkmoth nexus... I'm probably missing something important that makes the card really good. I see that suggestion on most of the artifact decks on the page, but never really understood it.

Thanks for the upvote. :)

My understanding of its use is that you quickly pump it with modular, or whatever you have, then it can sail over everyone's head for damage. Especially with the Infect version, it can end things rather quickly. ;)

Okay, that bugged me so I did some research... here's what I found about Inkmoth Nexus .

  • it's the only flyer with infect
  • it's a turn two opening for proliferate decks
  • it can't be countered except by cards like Stifle because it's no spell
  • it can't be burned with sorcery speed effects because it's not a creature during the opponent's turn
  • it works great with Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas second ability
  • of course, it's also a mana source

I'm not sure if that justifies its price, because there are other manlands and many cheap ways to give any infectous creature flying. Not to mention those evil Wasteland that are common in the legacy meta... It's probably a good card in modern, though.

good deck persist combo may be a little difficult to pull off but then a good combo challenge is always sweeter to pull of. would love to give it a shot but unfortunately getting a game of vintage is near impossible in the meta i play in :(

It's actually legacy. The site is having trouble with the legal/illegal list these days. Not that it's much easier to find legacy players...

Yeah, I often have to mulligan to make sure i get at least two lands and one ramp card in my starting hand. Just like some old cars, it doesn't always start up right away, but works great once it does.
