I would take out 1 Mistbind Clique and 1 Cryptic Command to add in 2 Liliana of the Veils. She costs less and can control the board a bit.

Other than that I like it.

I'll definitely look into Liliana of the Veil, however I'm probably not going to take a another Cryptic Command. Thanks for your input SirFowler.

So is this just casual, or is it supposed to be modern?

tacolover25 says... #4

No I have too many cards that are illegal in modern. If Cloud of Faeries was legal I'm sure more people would run it. The combos get so ridiculously good. Cycling at instant speed is just gravy.

What about Street Wraith? It's modern legal.

Also, what are your thoughts on Quickling? I decided to add it as a one of in case the opponent cast a destruction spell or if I need to save a creature from dying by combat damage.

I appreciate the Street Wraith suggestion but the mana cost is too high. As for Quickling I'd say that it's a very good card as a 1 or 2 of. As you said being able to save a creature or bounce a Vendilion Clique back to hand would be very helpful.

Well, the thing about the wraith is that people don't cast it. They just use it for it's cycling ability. It works well in Living End decks because they just bring everything back from the grave.

If I ever try to play Modern with this deck I will definitely consider adding Street Wraith.

How is this casual? Looks potentially tournament-level to me.

I use it in my casual play group. I don't use it in tournaments. I could classify this deck as legacy though.

this deck looks sweet, and the fae are one of my favorite tribes, so +1 from me. just wondering though, why run faerie trickery instead of a better counterspell?

I just feel that it fits the theme better. I had thought about putting in Spell Pierce or Mental Misstep but I just really like Faerie Trickery. I'm a sucker for themes I guess. Thanks by the way. Any recommendations?

maybe oona's blackguard? goes well with bitter blossom and if you include a few more fairy rogues it's sweet.

If I make a rogue build (which I've thought about) that's exactly what I'll do. Thanks for your advice!

Cavern of Souls is an amazing card and I'll see if I can find room for it.

have you considered a Scion of Oona giving all of your dudes shroud it pretty sweet. I have found the card to be pretty sweet. Plus it gives you a chant affect for what thats worth. It does speed up the clock. Also I think the Remands would be better if they were Ponders. I think you have enough counters with out them, and so some way of getting a look to filter your draw a bit would be quite nice. Looks good though, sucker for tribes and foils so +1

titanreaver I had Scion of Oona in the main board as a two of for awhile, however I noticed some ill effects from Riptide Laboratory. Shroud doesn't mix well with targeting. I tried Pestermite for awhile and it didn't work out well.

As for Remand I will try it with ponders instead on MTGO just for kicks and see if you are correct in your suggestion. Do you have a tribal deck that you would like for me to see? I love me some tribal just like you!

Truth forgot about that. Good point.

I have so many tribal decks. 14 of them already up on the site, and a few more I haven't gotten around to putting up yet. For something a little more casual I have we've got a riot on our hands its a human deck that is pretty fast. then for something a bit more serious there there be goblins a foot which should be self explanatory what the tribe is.

titanreaver Have decided to go back to 2x Scion of Oona. Thanks again for making me reevaluate my options.

No problem. Also one of my roommates tried to build a faerie recently, and it did not go well at all. I will have to show him your list, the maybe his won't suck as much.

If it's a casual build there's nothing wrong with being slower. Gives some of the other faeries some love. Like Knacksaw Clique and Nightshade Schemers.

Watery Grave seems better than River of Tears. Brainstorm is a solid card although it use usually used in tandem with fetchs to shuffle in cards you don't want. If you are willing to et them Polluted Delta would be good. If you want more discard Hymn to Tourach is efficient.

Thank you for the suggestions. I had Polluted Delta but found the life loss to be too much. Mabye as a one of it would be okay. Hymn to Tourach is out of the question only because I want to have counter magic open or bitterblossom turn 2.

Shame that True-Name Nemesis isn't a Faerie :( Would be great as Professor Lockhart's arch nemesis :D
