The main idea here is obviously control, but my goal is to do so while also doing incremental damage with Spell Queller. I'm torn between using Thing in the Ice   or Baral, Chief of Compliance, so they're interchangeable as of now. One combo I've been liking has been Elder Deep-Fiend + Torrential Gearhulk , where I cast the latter, and then emerge the former on my opponent's next turn for only the UU. These two cards have presented a pretty viable end game strategy as well. Against more creature-heavy decks, I can board in Fumigate and Niblis of Frost, each of which help deal with a big board in their own way.

I hope I'm not being presumptuous in saying that this deck is a control nightmare.

So I had a dope day. I went 2-2 at the last showdown, and felt really great about how my deck played. Not as great about how I played it, but that's okay because it's room for improvement. I found that getting rid of the Selfless Spirits helped the deck do a lo more counter work, and made Niblis of Frost a more viable cast, since the more instants I have, the more it can screw up someone's board.

I also got a zendikar gift box for my birthday, and pulled a Stasis Snare, which right into my deck. Even more surprising was the Expedition I pulled (Hallowed Fountainfoil), and the Jace, Unraveler of Secrets that also went right into my deck. I was able to play the Jace a bunch, and it helped me win hands. I like how he and Dovin work in the deck, because I'm not playing with a lot of card advantage and they help.

It was a pretty good day of magic.
