Peter Tarzán (aka in nomine Carlitros)

Modern* Mono-Green

Sideboard

Green Tarzan; Supergreen me; 'To green or not to green -this is the tree-'; Greenbitch Meridians; The Humble Students of Forest Bump.

Inspiration:

Think of a forest under the primaveral sunlight, after three days of constant and intense raining. The hitting light, the sounds, the wet smell,... but above all things the giant growth. Expansive and natural growth, independent and earth-root-based. It won't hurt you, but transform you in a pretty branch. Win-Win.

How it works:

The aim of the deck is clear: to get a quick forest start, helped with Llanowar Elves and Wall of Roots .

Having a battlefield filled with nice beast like Garruk's Companion or Leatherback Baloth in turn 2, 3 or 4 must be a problem for the opponent.

Giant Growth and Vines of Vastwood give dope and control at the same time, I love their multiples faces. Naturalize for counter as a memory of the hidden water that keeps the forest alive.

Thornweald Archer allows us to keep far away flying creatures and dangerous creatures as well. Same with Acidic Slime but with enchantments, artifacts or funky lands.

Khalni Hydra is a huge monster that uses to see play in early turns in this deck. And if you manage it with finishers...

Finishers are Overrun and Overwhelming Stampede. Last one is a friend of Giant Growth. Furthermore, with some Rancor in the playfield, Wildbeast Master works as a finisher.

And then there's Garruk, Primal Hunter, which was offered to me in a gods-touched booster.

Any suggestion, ideas?
