Thanks Zarakava. I wish there were a good standard substitute for Thought Scour . Tome Scour is heavier mill, but there's no free draw.

I wouldn't even run Tome Scour , yeah it mills some, but you're going to win mill off of combos, not a single tome scour.

Considering your large creature base, drop the Tome Scour for Paranoid Delusions , because it will probably give you about as much mill in the long run, as well as combo's multiple times with Consuming Aberration

Have you considered good ol' Sigiled Starfish for cheap early blocks? And hey, if they get a slow start, you can use it to scry 1, so that's pretty helpful I find.

Maybe add a Keranos, God of Storms so you can draw cards as well as deal damage for free. It helps slip past mana clumps and put more useful things in your hand.

Thanks slovakattack, I hadn't considered Sigiled Starfish . I guess I wrote it off because it only scrys 1 while Omenspeaker scrys 2...but I missed that the starfish can be tapped to scry, so that might be a good addition!

I'm trying to decide between Pilfered Plans and Read the Bones . Thoughts?

I would put in Hover Barrier , a 0/6 flying defender pretty good in generalbut cmbined with Phenax it is really good

Phenax loves Triton Tactics , and it's a good surprise-block lockdown as well.

I'm a little worried about the lack of hard mill that you have here. As an immediate suggestion, I would suggest -1 Phenax, God of Deception . He's a legendary, and costly, so that means that he's going to be a dead drop early. Best to minimize that as much as possible.

slovakattack, yeah my early mill is a little weak. I like playing the scry cards, but maybe swapping Read the Bones for Pilfered Plans and -1 Dissolve +1 Psychic Strike would help? I added a third Phenax, God of Deception because for some reason I have terrible luck getting him in time...but you definitely make a good point. What would you suggest adding for more mill power? Thanks Osiris716 -- I'm definitely going to playtest with Hover Barrier in the mainboard and see how it goes. Combining it with Triton Tactics would actually have the same effect as wall of frost, now that I think about it...thanks quaker171.

Tome Scour is nice for T1. Glimpse the Unthinkable just rotated out, sadly. For 2CMC, your best bet is Breaking .

Have you thought of adding Thassa, God of the Sea ? She adds scry and unblockable without even being a creature, and is a 5/5 to power Phenax or attack.

Try Thassa, God of the Sea for scry + unblockability. Rogue's Passage is pretty overcosted. And with all the U/Gold permanants, she can be online easy. Shes got a nice booty and is Indestructable as well.

how about Cyclonic Rift Breaking / Entering for breaking of course and Mind Sculpt for some added mill?

Thanks swingstyle. I don't have a lot of pure mill in the deck, it's mostly control with mill added where possible. But I'm definitely considering the Cyclonic Rift s! I'm also thinking about running Profane Memento instead of crypt incursion.
