So I like the idea of this deck a lot. Milling with Phenax, God of Deception and Planeswalkers is a good time. The one problem I see is that you have the machine there but not much in there really, other than the Sylvan Caryatid, to get it online efficiently or in any way threatening to your opponent or his or her game plan. Curve is high and you won't be doing much of anything until T3 at the earliest with Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver or T5 with Phenax, God of Deception, Jace, Memory Adept, or Consuming Aberration. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver doesn't affect the board at all so he isn't very threatening. I feel like the deck should be using T1-4 to ensure that you can hit really hard to mill them out on T5-6.

Here is the explanation of my maybeboard additions:

  • Courser of Kruphix... probably as a 4 of. A 2/4 on T3 or T2... good as a blocker, fits with the Phenax, God of Deception plan, ramps, and gets you life. What's not to like? Sure it doesn't help with devotion for Phenax, God of Deception, but I don't think you need or want to have him as a creature anyway. The double green could be a problem, but only if we don't plan for it.

  • Oath of Nissa... run at least 3. Need land get a land, don't need land get a creature or PW. Get the best card of your top 3. With Coursers you'll be playing the land anyway and it fixes your mana for your walkers. No real downside really. Legendary doesn't matter. If you end up adding more non-creature or non-planeswalkers then you may wiff ones in a while but I'd say it is worth the one G and a card risk. But most likely, if you do wiff, you're really just saving yourself 3 turns of drawing cards you didn't need.

  • Heartless Summoning... this one is an option for speeding the deck up. Don't know how well it would work.

  • Assault Formation... a plan B if you will, also makes it so your walls will actually kill creatures that they block.

  • Muddle the Mixture, Shred Memory... these are in here for the transmute effect to either search for Heartless Summoning or Assault Formation if you were to go those routes. You could run fewer copies like 1-2, but still have consistency. Not sure how well it would work, but it's an idea.

  • Wall of Roots, Wall of Tanglecord, Hover Barrier... just some alternative walls that can be used with Phenax, God of Deception but are cheaper, provide some mana, or block fliers.

  • Birds of Paradise... solid ramp and 3 color mana fixing. Also good with Prophet of Kruphix even if you don't have Phenax, God of Deception in play.

  • Myr Superion... big baddy for free with Heartless Summoning. Wouldn't run unless you went that direction.

  • Nissa, Steward of Elements... another walker option that would help get the cards you need.

As far as cuts... this is just my gut and no playtesting:

Anyway, that's all way more than you probably wanted.
