Howdy! I've been looking for a way to make a decent Phoenix for a little while - partially as a gift to a friend (He loves the mythical creature) and partially because I really enjoy the theme tied to the creature type.

So, the best part about Phoenixes (Phoenixi? Phoenixen?) is that they're not gone for good - they always have a way to come back. I want to try to get as much advantage out of them coming and going as possible. Warstorm Surge was an obvious choice, but I don't feel it's enough.

The deck is geared around direct damage and not being afraid to use my creatures to defend or strike against impossible odds. I think some Mana Acceleration would really do this deck well. I would like some input on this bad boy, but please keep in mind - this is a Phoenix deck and I'd like to keep it that way.
