Just so you know, illusionist bracers only works on activated abilities, and Ezuri has triggered abilities.

Wouldn't work for Gyre Sage either. It says "if it isn't a mana ability." Mana abilities are anything that adds mana to your mana pool. But it does work with Vorel, Kiora's Follower, Aquastrand Spinder, Experiment One, Ludevic's Test Subject, Plaguemaw Beast, and Viral Drake. So it is a great card in the deck. Also, Strionic Resonator can copy the triggered ability on Illusionist's Bracers.

Hate to nitpick, but a mana ability isn't just any ability that adds mana to your pool. Mana abilities cannot have a target, so things like Deathrite Shaman's ability that adds mana to your pool are, by definition, not a mana ability.

Tuskguard Captain could replace Crowned Ceratok as it has the same ability and would also trigger Ezuri's ability. The only downside is that it does not enter the battlefield with trample.

Thanks Concentrate, Tuskguard Captain is now in, as an extra chance for XP counters is always a bonus.
