Awesome!! Where'd you get that version of K man? Maybe a Buried Ruin? In case someone kills or counters your reservoir?

bradtheimpaler13 you can change the looks of cards on tapped out by getting altar codes. Just look up altars in search and you will find it I do believe. I forget how to change it every time and have to look it up again lol. Thanks for the comment.
I do have Elixir of Immortality that lets the deck reshuffle “infinitely” so I could get it back anytime… however I have been looking to get rid of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth so maybe I’ll switch it and do some play testing. Thanks for the suggestion.

This build is brutal... You see it coming but there's not much to do about it except watch your life total drop with cards in hand. Beautiful. Probably not much fun to play against (like the Jhoira Flux decks) but hey a W is a W.

ottovontrapp thanks for the comment, its nice to hear positive feedback and it's appreciated. The deck can be unfun to play against but it was built for cEDH a place where it's expected lol. Also the only place you get away with turn 1-4 wins.

SomeDipshit yea I was liking that's demon when it got released. It's badass

ssss1 essentially yes lol. That was the intention to make the whole deck a tutor.

This deck is crazy. It seems that it's quite easy to Peer into the Abyss before turn 4 and essentially just win the game right then and there.

EVEN-ELITE it is quite easy to cast peer and win. You have to be careful around counter spells though. Secret Salvage is just as easy also

I've been meaning to ask, how do you feel about this sexy beast?
October 31, 2021 12:22 p.m.
Mortlocke I think it's pretty good and at least we have a foil... On the otherhand K'rrik is supposed to be kind of dark not rainbow. I feel like it takes away from him as a commander.

Mortlocke you know it never occured to me that you were the reason I even have a primer in the first place. I just realized this as I'm making a reddit post on how people should write primers.

MtgSalt, yeah I felt it was time for a name change. Lvl.666 just felt a little too edgy highschoolery for me. This is the new default handle I run with for the most part. I'm a big proponent of primers, ever since I started doing it for my own decks (the ones i really care about anyway) it changed my relationship with them dramatically. It made me more mindful of how they were constructed - the purpose of each combo and card interaction, the turns in which the deck is designed to threaten to win, even how the deck is intended to be perceived by opponents. Writing a primer about a deck in my eyes turns that deck from a collection of cool card to a form of self expression in my opinion.
I'm glad that my recommendation changed your relationship with your deck. At least, I think it did. From what I remembered, this deck evolved considerably overtime eventually becoming a precision instrument of speed and aerodynamics - and outright terror. I hope your relationship with your deck and deck building grow over time. May you slay many in the name of new Phyrexia.

Mortlocke I hope more people have the same mindset change we did. I can't think of the words to follow the perfect reasoning you just typed. It really is an expression of you or as my friend would say "your

This is a link to a reddit post I wrote sort attempting to help people learn how to go about it

Pretty nuts deck, but a bit glass cannon'y.
If someone removes Aetherflux Reservoir you're out for the count. No way to source the kind of life you need to go off, and your primary win con is gone as well. Anyone who's played against this deck once will know how to make it fall to the ground like a sack of bricks, as a result. I would consider including Grey Merchant as extra redundancy, for those situations where you find yourself SOOL. Maybe also consider including Ashnod's/Phyrexian Altars for more consistent access to the mana you can't pay for with life, as it's quite obvious that you'll have a lot of disposable bodies while playing this.

hellspawned Hey buddy thanks for commenting on the page. I am curious if you had read the primer on the deck? I know it's not on this page and is currently being transferred from Moxfield but there is a link at top. The reason I ask is...

If you read the primer I would point out the "How to gain life & Win-cons sections". While Aetherflux Reservoir is the Main win-con, It surely isn't the only win-con. Gary has been considered before but didn't really like the way it played, of course the deck was different then so maybe it deserves another look. The deck did used to run the altars but Skirge Familiar proved to be better as it synergized more with the deck. If the deck is at the point a bunch of creatures are on the field to sac to altars, the game is already over. Which I'll also point out the "infinite combo" section in the primer <--which is also redundant because the same reason.
Let's say I did add altars / Gary ... what would you change out?

I honestly don't know what I would switch out, only having goldfished the deck a couple of times. But since you've considered and discarded the idea, I won't push that notion any further.
I've read the primer now, and you're right, there are more ways of gaining life (though none as effective as Reservoir). I'm mainly a high power player, and I guess I would feel naked having close to no elbow room while paying life. Like, most life gain in this deck apart from Reservoir doesn't net you much life, so you'll have to balance on a razorblade edge while manoeuvring that sort of situation. I know, taking a lethal Gut Shot is a badge of honor, but I would rather not, you know what I'm saying? :P
