I love thopters. The fondest memories I have of playing Magic are of me playing Ornithopter decks (Both Ensoul Artifact decks as well as Affinity). So whenever I get the chance, I try building thopter decks.

With SOI launching, the idea was to make a Thoper Spy Network deck. It quickly merged into a burn/control deck, inspired by decks from Starcitygames Open and the Pro Tour. I, however, still love thopters, and therefore included both Thopter Engineer and Pia and Kiran Nalaar in my deck.

Both thopter-producing cards are being used to deal low amounts of damage to get your opponent in burn range. They also serve as blockers to stall for time. When you have to, you can sacrifice everything to Westvale Abbey   for both Lifelink and a huge amount of damage. Wandering Fumarole can serve both as a decent blocker and a reasonable damage-dealing creature.

Fall of the Titans and Fiery Temper in combination with Pyromancer's Goggles are your main win condition. Tormenting Voice and Magmatic Insight help you draw a load of cards, while Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   and Jori En, Ruin Diver also help on the card advantage. A flipped Jace helps you recast all your spells, as does Goblin Dark-Dwellers. Keeping your opponents board as clear as possible is the job of both Lightning Axe and Thing in the Ice  .

I'm finding this deck really fun to play. It has some problems against the mirror, but it can deal loads of damage out of nowhere.

Any tips to improve the deck are welcome. Just keep in mind that I really want to keep the thopter-theme in the deck.
