Welcome to Pilli-Pala Mill

This is a deck which ideally will mill the opponent on turn 3 using the Grand Architect + Pili-Pala infinite Mana combo.

This is a deck that strives to get the combo out before the opponent can do anything about it rather than approach the match in a regular methodical way like Blue does.

Here are some circumstances that would allow the deck to operate at maximum efficiency.

1) Going 1st to limit the opponent's land count, Mana, and therefore options for countering the combo. (Like the Spell Queller which once cost me the game.)

2) Ideal hand: 1 Swamp, 2 Island, 1 Pili-Pala, 1 Grand Architect, 1 Springleaf Drum , 1 Blue Sun's Zenith.

Play Layout:

Turn 1: Swamp, Play Springleaf Drum

Turn 2: Island, Play Pili-Pala

Turn 3: Island, Play Grand Architect

CUE THE COMBO!

Tap Springleaf Drum , then Grand Architect to fulfill the cost, add one Blue Mana to the pool and use it to pay for the Architect's ability and make Pili-Pala Blue.

Tap Pili-Pala, add 2 colorless to the pool, use them to activate Pili-Pala's ability, untap it and add a Blue or Black Mana to the pool.

Do this a million bajillion times and then cast Blue Sun's Zenith to make them draw their entire library.

Note: The deck also has options to get the combo and make it happen even if you run into problems drawing, get a bad hand, or encounter a dreaded blue deck.

Low cost counter spells, Transmute cards, and more should do the job.
