My first modern deck built on a budget. This is a Pillow Fort with a midrange capability to hit back with Gods that get devotion. As I am new to Modern any help is welcomed.

Pillow Fort Strategy: Some of the best Blockers in the game and Enchantments until I play Sphere of Safety to slow the fast Zoo and Affinity decks or play Pariah on Fog Bank or better yet on an Indestructible God. Being able to generate enchantment creatures with Heliod, God of the Sun is helpful

My hope is that devotion from cards like Plumeveil , Wall of Denial and Detention Sphere will make Thassa, God of the Sea and Heliod, God of the Sun great offensive weapons. My only other options is the pesky AEtherling and Gideon, Champion of Justice which could be awesome to ultimate on a Zoo deck.

I am fully open to ideas as I have not played this deck yet in a tournament

First time playing modern tournament and the lesson learned is you might as well look up a tier 1 modern and spend the money home brews have no chance against the time and tested tier1 decks. It was a nice try to create something unique and different but there are too many old broken cards now to play alternative strategies than what the pro players have come up with. Best bet for me is to turn this into some type of U/W control deck among the top Tier1 and forget pillow fort

Results: 0-2 VS Storm Dead turn 3 combo Dead turn 5 combo lightening bolt as I got to exile at least once Arguably I had sideboard cards that could hose this deck but you have to have them hand to have a chance

0-2 vs Miri Pod Died both times to the kitchen finks combo of infinite persist for life or infinite damage

0-2 vs red/blue combo Another infinite combo deck that copies spells with arcane and mana racers
