I may be trying to do too many things here. It is an attempt to marry both Detain and Heroic, utilizing Hidden Strings as the linchpin.

The goal would be to bring out the Fortune Hunter, hit him with Hidden Strings, get card draw, then use hidden strings as a way to free up mana, to cast detain spells, or hit the Fortune Hunter again with a Charm, Ordeal, or Tactics. Stealer of Secrets is another option, which would pair well with Detain, to generate further card draw.

Then, it's a matter of slow damage. There is no Wincon creature (except for Medomai, who is more of a card advantage throw-in), so the deck hinges on being able to lock down any creatures while hitting for small amounts.

Check the Maybeboard for all the dang cards I have been toying with. I can't decide if the Stealer of Secrets should be in instead of the Wavecrash, but it all depends on how big my opponent's creatures are. Do I need the extra toughness as a blocker? Or should I rely solely on detain? If that is the case, I should consider the Arrester, Justiciar, or Priest...
