Maybeboard

This Go-Wide elf build focuses on ramping huge and generating huge amounts of card advantage. The pioneer format has a very large amount of removal, so the only way to build a board big enough for wide ramp to be effective IS to generate massive amounts of card advantage. For every elf they kill, you must draw 2.

The main win conditions are Finale of Devastation where X=10 and activating Elvish Warmaster. The entire deck is built to create enough of a board-state where you can ramp to 7 or 12 mana.

Occasionally you can get stuck on a board presence with a Finale of Devastation and less than 12 mana, in which case you can tutor a Beast Whisperer or Realmwalker or Leaf-Crowned Elder in order to get the card advantage going and build your board.

Tyvar is an absolute gem, giving us a haste effect and an untap to help win more or a re-animation ability when we're behind.

Updates Add

The Tournament Organizer at my LGS has been subtly suggesting I try Fauna Shaman since Brothers' War was released. The synergy with Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler is indeed quite nice. Going to try the Fauna Shaman variant this week.

  • Removed 2x Vivien, Monsters' Advocate and 2x Marwyn the Nurturer for 4x Fauna Shaman
