This is a slightly different version of my usual Izzet Ensoul Artifact list for Pioneer that revolves less around Inti and Smuggler's Copter and more around the artifact sacrifice synergies between Gleaming Geardrake and Legion Extruder, which allows us to also lean more heavily into synergistic cards like Diamond Pickaxe, Metallic Rebuke, and Case of the Filched Falcon. This version seems to be less generically powerful, but more cohesively focused on what the deck does best.

With 14 ways to make an artifact on turn 1, a turn 2 Ensoul that can attack is possible 91.3% of the time that we draw it while adding a turn 2 Geardrake to the board is also quite threatening - especially when it solves a Case of the Filched Falcon immediately. Our ideal turn 3 play would be a Cryptic Coat/The Royal Scions, but basically the entirety of the game past that point can be played at instant-speed. Once a board of creatures and artifacts are established, we will be able to simply draw-go our opponents and react to whatever they try to do with counterspells and interaction while also holding open activations on things like Legion Extruder, Case of the Filched Falcon, Cryptic Coat, Channel lands, and various artifact tokens to be extra tricksy with our open mana. The sideboard amplifies this game plan with more relevant counterspells and potent interaction.
